Chengdu to Zhangjiajie Train

No direct train serves passengers traveling from Chengdu to Zhangjiajie at present, and a transfer is thus needed. 

You can choose from Huaihua, Chongqing and Changsha to take the connecting high speed train. It takes about 7 - 8 hours, 9 hours, and 10.5 - 11.5 hours respectively; the total expenses also differ.

 How to get to Changsha Railway Station from Changsha South Railway Station
Changsha Railway Station also operates 29 high speed trains to Zhangjiajie. If the timetable at Changsha South cannot meet your needs, passengers can transfer to Changsha Station by metro line 2 for more choice. It takes about 30 minutes on board.  
 To get to Zhangjiajie, passengers can take flights from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport to Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport. 2 flights are available daily, departing at 06:55 and 11:45 with a travel time of only 1.5 hours. The ticket fare is from CNY 300 to CNY 950.
 Over 40 high speed trains run from Zhangjiajie to Changsha from 07:00 to 21:29, where passengers can take the connecting high speed train to Chengdu. It totally needs about 9 - 11.5 hours.

As for transferring in Huaihua, passengers can first choose from 19 bullet trains running from Zhangjiajie West Railway Station to Huaihua South Railway Station with a duration of about 1 - 1.5 hours and then go on the trip to Chengdu at Huaihua South by high speed trains with a travel time of 5 - 6 hours.
