Transfer in Lanzhou for High Speed Trains

Transferring in Lanzhou can also be a good choice if the tickets of the trains above have been sold out or you don’t want to sleep on the trains for 2 nights. So far, there are 5 pairs of high speed trains connecting Lanzhou and Wuhan, and 4 pairs of bullet trains linking Lanzhou and Urumqi.

For tourists who are going to transfer between Lanzhou West Railway Station and Lanzhou Railway Station, city buses can be a good way. Currently, city buses 1, K102 and 302 are operated between the 2 stations; a one-way ride takes about 70 minutes. And the route takes about 20 minutes by taxi.

The Lanzhou Subway Line 2 is expected to open in 2019. Lanzhou Railway Station and Lanzhou West Railway Station will be connected by this subway line by then.

Other Transportation Option: Wuhan - Urumqi Flight

A more time-saving way of travelling between Wuhan and Urumqi is travelling by plane. Currently, there are 8 pairs of flights operated between the 2 cities, and the number may be increased in peak season. The economy fares of this route change within the range of CNY 450 - 2,200.

Can I take power bank on the train from Urumqi to Wuchang?

Is there USB plug in hard sleeper cabin?

You can take power bank with you. There is no USB plug, only a few normal type of plugs in the passage and they were shared by the whole carriage. You may not always find one at the time.
