Which one to Choose, Urumqi Railway Station or Urumqi South Railway Station
It mainly depends on two aspects: convenience for transfer and ticket availability.
1. Travelers can choose a station closer to their staying places or more convenient for transfer. For example, Urumqi Railway Station is closer to Diwopu Airport, about 14km (8.5 miles); however, there is no direct bus running between. Travelers need to take a taxi. The South Station is a little far in distance, but direct airport shuttle bus is available. To the city center area near the Red Hill, the South Station is closer in distance, and many direct buses can be used. A taxi would take around 15-20 minutes or so without traffic problem
2. For most rides, Urumqi Station is the original station, thus more tickets can be offered here. If there is no ticket available from South Station, travelers may check the ticket availability from this station.

00ReplyYes, there is bus No. 202 in service there. It can take you to Dashizi in the city center. Taxi can be found as well, around 25min on the way.

00ReplyThe station is still a little far from the city center area, about 50km. You may go by carpool or take a bus from the long distance bus station nearby to the city center.
