Hankou Railway Station
Hankou Railway Station is the biggest European-style Railway Station in China. The station is about 8.1 miles (13 kilometers) from Yellow Crane Tower, 5.6 miles (9 kilometers) from the Yangtze River Bridge, 9.3 miles (15 kilometers) from Wuchang Railway Station, 12 miles (20 kilometers) from Wuhan Railway Station and 14.3 miles (23 kilometers) from Tianhe International Airport. As a major railway station along the Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu and Wuhan-Guangzhou High Speed Railway Lines, most high speed trains to/from Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei, Yichang, Chengdu, and Chongqing stop here. To alleviate the stress upon Yangtze River Bridge, most ordinary trains running to/from northern China also operate from here, including those to/from Beijing and Xi'an. In addition, a few services to/from Guangzhou and Shenzhen are also available here.
Address: Development Avenue in the Jianghan District
Hankou Railway Station has a quite large terminal building, with a floor area of 20 acres (about 80,000 square meters). The floors are connected by escalators, elevators, and stairs.

2F: Waiting rooms are mainly located on the second floor. These are equipped with toilets and drinking water. Restaurants, stores, mother-and-child waiting room, nursery room, and smoking area are also set on the second floor for passengers’ convenience.
Underground Floors: Platforms of metro line 2, and its exit and entrance as well as parking lots for private vehicles are located here.
In front of the terminal is a square. Here, can be found bus stops, metro exit/entrance, taxi stands, and parking lots for private vehicles. Surrounding the square, there are stores, restaurants, and hotels for passengers’ convenience. About 600 yards southwest of the square, is Jinjiadun Long-Distance Bus Station, where long-distance buses to either nearby or far-located cities are available. Cities include Tianmen, Jingmen, Yichang, Enshi, Honghu, Shashi, Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Zhuhai. Shuttle buses to Tianhe International Airport are also available here.

Luggage Cabinets: These are located on the second floor. Service fee is CNY5-10 per day, based on cabinet size.
Heart Linked to Heart Service Desks: They are spread throughout the station square, ticket offices, and waiting hall. People there assist the old, weak, sick and disabled to board the train, exit and enter the station.
Volunteers: Volunteers can be found inside almost every corner of the station. These help passengers in finding waiting areas, boarding, and exiting, etc.

There is no direct bus. You may take metro to Hankou Railway Station, then connect to a bullet train to Shiyan.

Please kindly advise the best way to go to Grand Mercure Wuhan Qiaokou from Hankou Station.
We are a family of 3 with child of 7 years old. Is it hard to use public transfer? How much it may cost for a taxi?

If use public transportation, you need city bus 411 from Hankou Station to Qiaokou Road/Rrenshou Road bus stop which should be the 9th stop. Then you can walk about 400m back to North direction to reach the hotel. It is indeed easier by taxi, it is not very far in distance so maybe around CNY20 to 30 for taxi fare. It would be recommended to use taxi.

Hankou to Nanjing Nan Station
Hello I am arriving in Wuhan Tianhe airport at 0630 on Sunday 7th October. I want to travel on by train to Nanjing. I know this is the end of Golden Week and trains will be busy but the 12306 app is showing all seats on all trains from Hankou to Nanjing as sold. Is this for real or is it possible tickets will go on sale nearer the time because of the holiday? Please advise as I need to travel that day to Nanjing.

There is indeed no ticket for this route, and it is hard to say, as long as some travellers return their tickets, then there will be tickets released.

How long you have to wait for just collecting ticket at Hankou station?
Hi this Saturday, 15th of July, I will fly to Wuhan and then subway to Hankou.
Many people say the station is crowded but how long does it take to just collect the ticket.
(I have already booked the ticket.)
Are there any collection only counter available?
Thank you for your advice in advance,
Thank you,
Kaz

Well, this is hard to say. If you meet a long waiting line, it may take you even more than 1 hour. The lines moved very slow :( I don't know if there is a counter for ticket collection only, if yes, this may be faster. This website suggest me to arrive at my station about 90min in advance. Personally speaking, I think it is necessary.
