Wuhan - Zhengzhou: This section is a part of Beijing - Guangzhou High Speed Railway, which was opened on December 26th, 2009 with the top running speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).
Zhengzhou - Luoyang Longmen: This section is a part of Zhengzhou - Xi'an High Speed Railway with the design speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). Open in the beginning of 2010, it is the first high speed railway with the operating speed of 350 km/h in the Midwest of China. In 2011, due to the national railway rescheduling, the operation speed of this line was reduced to 300 km/h (186 mph).

ReplyIf there bus or metro service from Dorsett Wuhan at 118 Jianghan Road to train station?
We are looking for a train to visit Longmen Grottoes.

00ReplyIf you will take a high speed train, you should need to go to Wuhan Railway Station. The distance is a little bit far but as the hotel is not far from a metro station, it is not hard to go. From the hotel, you can walk to the nearest metro station, Jianghan Road, then you can take line 2 to Hongshan Square and finally change to line 4 to reach the railway station. The total duration should be within 1 hour.
If you will take an overnight sleeper train, the departure station should be Wuchang Station. To this station, you can use bus 402 from Huitonglu bus station near the hotel directly. It is also about 1 hour on the way. Or you can still use metro line 2 to Zhongnanlu and then change to line 4.
