Guilin - Sanya Train
At present, there is no direct train running between Guilin and Sanya. One needs to take Guilin - Haikou train first and then take high speed train to travel from Haikou to Sanya. The overall travel time is about 18 to 20 hours and the ticket price for a hard sleeper plus a second class seat is CNY 433.
What’s more, a high speed railway linking Guilin and Haikou is under construction. When the high speed railway line is open, passengers can travel between Guilin and Haikou through high speed train, greatly cutting the travel time between Guilin and Sanya.

Haikou East Railway Station operates more high speed trains to/from Sanya. Passengers can take city bus 35 from East Railway Station to Haikou Railway Station directly for more choices. The journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes and costs CNY 4 per person.
One can also take a taxi to get to the east railway station. The direct taxi ride may take 40 minutes and cost about CNY 50.
There are 3 flights in service between Guili and Sanya daily. The travel time is 1.5 - 2 hours and the air fare is from CNY 500 to CNY 1,500.
Nanshan Culture Tourism Zone is a representative park showing traditional culture of Chinese Buddhism. It has three parks: Buddhism Culture Park, Blessing and Longevity Park and Hainan Custom Culture Park. You will know more about Buddhism after visiting these parks.
