Guilin - Sanya Train

At present, there is no direct train running between Guilin and Sanya. One needs to take Guilin - Haikou train first and then take high speed train to travel from Haikou to Sanya. The overall travel time is about 19 to 20 hours and the ticket price for a hard sleeper plus a second class seat is CNY 366 - 374.

What’s more, a high speed railway linking Guilin and Haikou is under construction. When the high speed railway line is open, passengers can travel between Guilin and Haikou through high speed train, greatly cutting the travel time between Guilin and Sanya.

 Passengers can take city bus 35 from East Railway Station to Haikou Railway Station directly. The journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes and costs CNY 4 per person.

One can also take a taxi to get to the east railway station. The direct taxi ride may take 40 minutes and cost about CNY 50.
 There are 3 flights in service between Guili and Sanya daily. The travel time is 1.5 hours and the air fare is from CNY 700 to CNY 1,000.
 Nanshan Culture Tourism Zone is a representative park showing traditional culture of Chinese Buddhism. It has three parks: Buddhism Culture Park, Blessing and Longevity Park and Hainan Custom Culture Park. You will know more about Buddhism after visiting these parks.
 The scenic area is the landmark of Sanya City. Here, you can dive to see different kinds of fishes and the coral reef. Or you can just walk in the beach and listen to the sound of the sea. If you are tired and hungry, you can taste some local seafood in nearby restaurants.
 Dongtian Park, known as Taoist Fairy Land Park, is situated at the foot of South Mountain. The park features beautiful natural scenery and abundant heritage sites. You can experience the charm of the park in attractions like Dongtian Fairyland, Longevity South Moutain, South China Sea Dragon King, Cliff Wall with Inscriptions, Seamounts Wonders and Sanya Natural History Museum.
