Jing’an District is located in the center of Shanghai, adjacent to Huangpu District and Hongkou District on the east, Changning District and Putuo District on the west and Xuhui District on the south. "Jing’an" is named after the Jing’an Temple, a must-see scenic spot in Shanghai. It is an important window for Shanghai's foreign exchanges and rewarded the best leisure tourism destination by China National Tourism in 2018.

Jing’an Temple
Jing’an Temple is a famous ancient temple in Shanghai. At present, the main buildings of the temple include the Shanmen (gate to the temple), Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall and Sansheng Hall. The silver Buddha enshrined in the Mahavira hall weighs as heavy as 15 tons. From a distance, the whole temple has a golden roof, particularly conspicuous. Jing’an Temple attracts many people to worship or visit. What’s more, the stunning and beautiful night view of the temple cannot be missed.
Shanghai Natural History Museum
The Shanghai Natural History Museum displays tens of thousands of specimens. It has 5 floors and 10 permanent exhibitions, which are divided into three themes: natural evolution, life world and human civilization. What is most interesting is the skeleton of the 26-meter (85-feet) long Mamenchisaurus Sinocanadorum, the largest dinosaur in Asia with the longest neck in the world. The Exploration Center is children's favorite where they can experience the sense of achievement of digging fossils by themselves (Need an appointment in advance).
Moller Villa
Moller Villa was a private garden villa owned by Moller, a wealthy Jewish businessman, and has transformed into Hengshan Moller Villa Hotel since 2005. The main building is a three-story house in Norwegian style. The interior decoration is very exquisite as beautiful and delicate patterns are carved everywhere. You can take photos in the hotel for free, or enjoy afternoon tea in the garden.
Wujiang Road
With convenient transportation, Wujiang Road is a wonderful place for shopping, sightseeing and tasting delicious food. All kinds of special dishes and local snacks can be found there, among which the Xiaoyang Pan-Fried Bun Stuffed with Pork and Nanxiang Steamed Buns are the most famous.

Metro Line 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and 13 are serving in Jing’an District Shanghai. Visitors can take Metro Line 2 and 7 to Jing’an Temple and Metro Line 1, 2, 12 and 13 to Shanghai Natural History Museum. The starting price and charging standard of Shanghai taxis are different between day and night. It charges CNY 170-180 to Pudong Airport, CNY 50-60 to Hongqiao Airport and and CNY 20-30 to Shanghai Railway Station.
