Jiading District is located in the northwest of Shanghai and borders on Baoshan District and Putuo District on the east and Minhang, Changning and Qingpu Districts on the south and Taicang on the north. It is a famous historical and cultural district. Jiading Town and Nanxiang Ancient Town remain many ancient attractions, such as Zhouqiao Old Street, Guyi Garden, Qiuxiapu Garden, and Jiading Confucius Temple. The Shanghai Auto Museum is also one of the highlights.

As one of the four famous historical towns in Shanghai, Nanxiang Ancient Town has many ancient sites such as the Guyi Garden, Tian’en Bridge built in the Qing Dynasty (1636 - 1912), and Yunxiang Temple. About a mile south of the town is the only golf course with night lighting in Shanghai, the Oriental Paris Golf and Country Club.

It is also very convenient by bullet trains to Shanghai Railway Station and then take Xinjia Line to Jiading District.

The inner-city transportation depends on metro, buses and taxis. Visitors can take Metro Line 11, the only metro route in Jiading Shanghai China to Nanxiang Ancient Town. To get to the Bund, visitors need to take Metro Line 11 and transfer to Metro Line 2 at Jiangsu Road Station or to Metro Line 10 at Jiaotong University.
