Zhangjiajie Weather in June

June is the first summer month in Zhangjiajie. Weather in June here is a little bit hotter than it is in May but it is still comfortable enough for people to have a trip. In general, the daily average temperature ranges from 21°C (70°F) to 30°C (86°F). In this time, plants become more luxuriant and green, forming a vibrant picture with the grand mountains and the whispering streams.


Although Zhangjiajie is not as crowded as it is in the summer vacation from July to August, it has gradually gotten into the peak season of the year, therefore, you’d better book the tickets of the hot scenic areas and hotels in advance in case of any inconvenience.

Considering the climate of Zhangjiajie in June, summer clothes are fairly enough for visitors to face most environment, like T-shirt, short trousers, skirt, shirt and summer sneakers. Meanwhile, it would be better if you take a thin coat, as the weather in mountains always change unpredictably and sometimes it will be a little cold at night in June. The Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge is considerably a worth visiting spot, which is located in the scenic area of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. This is the highest and the longest full transparent glass bridge in the world with a height of 300 meters (984 feet) and a span of 375 meters (1,230 feet). You will never forget the excitement of walking on it.

In June, Tianmen Mountain is a great place to enjoy summer green and Fenghuang Ancient Town not far from Zhangjiajie is a favorable destination to learn the customs of Miao ethnic minority.

This month is also a good period to enjoy performances in Zhangjiajie. Misty Rain in Zhangjiajie is one of the most famous performances, performed at Hallelujah Music Hall in Yellow Dragon Cave Scenic Area of Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve. This performance is a big musical drama displaying national customs. Based on the real scenes of life of the Miao nationality, the performance combines unique dance and hi-tech stage art, providing the best aesthetic pleasure.
