Day 1 Arrival in Luoyang
Buddhist statue in Longmen Grottoes
You are suggested to reach Luoyang before 11:00 either by train or flight. Upon arrival, you will meet our experienced guide and driver at the airport or outside the railway station. After a warm greeting, we will set out on this Luoyang 3 days tour to the Longmen Grottoes. Before that, you can have a lunch by yourself and our guide is always available to recommend you some good local restaurants.

At Longmen Grottoes, there are more than 2,300 sacred niches and 100,000 Buddhist statues in various sizes created by skilled artisans. Scattered densely on the majestic mountains from north to south, the grottoes stretch for 1,000 meters (1,100 yards) along the cliffs. In addition, there are 2,800 precious stele inscriptions and calligraphy works from the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534) to the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) that will provide you a visual feast.

After the 2.5-hour visit in Longmen Grottoes, you will be escorted to the Museum of Luoyang Eastern Zhou Royal Horse and Chariot Pits. This museum has large-scaled horse and chariot pits and also exhibits many valuable historical relics excavated from the pits.

After departing from the museum, we will drive to the hotel in downtown Luoyang for check-in.
Day 2 Luoyang - Zhengzhou
Shaolin Temple
After breakfast, we'll head for Dengfeng City to visit the prestigious Shaolin Temple by a two-hour drive. Located in the south of Song Mountain, this Buddhist temple contains imposing and grandiose buildings including Mahavira Hall and Dharma Cave, as well as old trees with thick leaves. Later, you will be guided to the Pagoda Forest to view different kinds of ancient towers in the square with rectangular and hexagonal shapes.

After that, we will watch the excellent Shaolin Kung Fu Show which usually takes 40 minutes or so. Then, we will pay a visit to the Shaolin Kung Fu School. There you can have a close contact with students' living environment by observing the teaching buildings and practice facilities. Afterwards you will have a chance to take a one-hour class learning the authentic Shaolin Kung Fu. Then your 3 days Luoyang trip extends to Zhengzhou as we transfer you to Zhengzhou with a comfortable ride for about 1.5 hours and check in at a local hotel.

Day 3 Zhengzhou - Kaifeng - Departure from Zhengzhou
Dragon Pavilion
Our guide will escort you to Kaifeng after breakfast, and the duration would be 1.5 hours. Upon arrival, we will go to see the Dragon Pavilion (Long Ting), a magnificent palace built on a 13-meter-high (43-foot) brick foundation. Then, the guide will accompany you to the Iron Pagoda. It was actually not built of iron as its name indicates. The soaring tower was constructed of glazed bricks which may look like metal plates from a distance, and hence the name. After lunch, we will take you to the palatial Shanshan'gan Guild Hall to appreciate enchanting engravings on tiles, stones and woods.

Your 3-day private Henan tour package to Luoyang - Zhengzhou - Kaifeng - Zhengzhou will end here. We will then transfer you to the airport or the railway station in Zhengzhou and see you off.
