The respective durations are about 9.5 - 10 hours and 30 - 31 hours. Ticket fare for a second class seat is CNY 906.5 and that for a hard sleeper is CNY 444 - 456.

If the current schedule cannot meet passengers' demand, a high speed train transfer via Wuhan is recommended for more choices which takes 10.5 - 14 hours on the train and costs CNY 804 - 1,120.5 for second class seats.

 To save time, passengers can travel by flights. There are around 12 direct flights shuttling between the two cities, taking 3 hours or so. Full price for an economy class seat is over CNY 1,100, while airlines may offer discounts in low seasons when an economy class seat can be low to CNY 400.

Compared with flights, high speed trains and normal ypes take a longer time, but they are more preferable for budget travelers. If traveling by normal trains, passengers had better choose a soft or hard sleeper to have a good rest onboard.
