At present, over 8 pairs of high speed train are operated between Xiamen and Wuyishan with the duration of about 3 hours on a daily basis. A single journey of them is as long as about 536 km (333 mi). No less than CNY 159 is needed to book a second class seat. Currently no normal trains shuttle between these two cities.

The railway between these two cities can be divided into two parts, Xiamen - Fuzhou and Fuzhou - Wuyishan respectively.
Xiamen - Fuzhou High Speed Railway
This part is one component of Hangzhou - Fuzhou - Shenzhen High Speed Railway. Major stations along the line contain Jinjiang, Quanzhou, Hui’an, Xianyou, Putian, Hanjiang and Fuqing.
Fuzhou - Wuyishan High Speed Railway
It is the beginning part of Fuzhou - Hefei High Speed Railway which has a distance of about 852 km (529 mi). Four major stations will be passed on the way, including Minqing North, Gutian North, Nanping South and Jian’ou West.
Passengers can walk to the Gaotiebei Bus Stop and take bus nos. 7 or 9 to reach Jing Qu Bei Ru Kou Station, then they will see the east gate of the scenic area. The ticket fare is CNY 2/ 3 with the duration of around 50 minutes.
There are about 6 pairs of nonstop flights shuttling between Xiamen and Wuyishan daily. The full ticket price of an economy class seat is about CNY 800 and the duration on the journey is about one hour.

When I search online, it shows trains to "Nanpingshi" instead of Wuyishan.

Since Dec 15, Wuyishan East Station will be called "Nanpingshi" Station instead. It is the same as "Wuyishan East" but just a change of name. Hope this information can help you.

ReplyHello, I will travel from Xiamen to Mt. Wuyishan in May this year.
I read that the passport number cannot be changed after booking? My passport need to be renewed in March, so I cannot book tickets now? Will it be too late if I book the tickets after getting new passport?

Once the ticket is booked well, the passenger information can no longer be changed. However, the tickets only begin for sale 30 days within the departure date. If you can get the updated passport information more than 30 days in advance, you still have plenty of time for booking. Please rest assured.

Which station should I go to take the train? How early should I be there for ticket collection? And my seats 8D 8F are next to each other or there is a seat E between? Thank you.

The train will departs from Xiamen railway Station at No. 900 Xiahe Road, Siming District. It is recommended to reach the station about 90min in advance for the collection and boarding process. The seat D and F are together on the two seats side. There is no seat E between. Please rest assured.
