Major cities along the way:

Being famous for Yellow Mountain, Huangshan city is a hot tourist destination at the southernmost tip of Anhui Province. Except the beautiful natural sceneries, the city also has many ancient streets and towns such as Shexian County, Chengkan Villages, Tunxi Ancient Street, Hongcun and Xidi Villages and Huizhou Ancient City. Currently, you can go to Huangshan easily either by railroad or by air. The bullet trains from Beijing, Shanghai and other major cities are preferable among the travelers.
As an important seaport and one of the three central cities in Fujian Province, Quanzhou is a famous cultural and historical city with mild climate. You can find many historical sites there, including Kaiyuan Temple, Heavenly Empress (Tianhou) Palace, Qingjing Mosque and other natural beauties such as Mt. Qingyuan and Mt Zimao. Transportation from this city is pretty convenient. Flights, trains, ships and city buses are all available for your convenience.

Flight

Except the rail travel, you can also choose the flight which just takes 3 hours. But even in low season, the flight ticket will cost more than rail ticket.
