Guiyang - Yangshuo Train

There are 10 high speed trains from Guiyang to Yangshuo daily and about 27 for the return trip. Passengers can travel between the two cities in around 2 - 3.5 hours. At one side, all use Yangshuo Railway Station, while at the other side, Guiyang East, Guiyang North and Longdongbao Railway Station are used. A second class seat costs CNY 183 - 218 based on different operating stations. At present, no normal speed trains run between the two cities.

 Running Route
Guiyang - Yangshuo high speed trains run along the Guiyang - Guangzhou High Speed Railway, one of the most important railways linking southwestern and southeastern China. For the Guiyang - Yangshuo section, major stops along the way include Longdongbao, Duyun East, Sanjiang South, Sanduxian, Longli North, Rongjiang, Congjiang, and Guilin West.
 In Yangshuo, there is only one railway station so passengers have no other choices. It is located at Xingping Town and about 22 kilometers (14 miles) from downtown Yangshuo. There are mini buses from this station to the Xingping Town and downtown Yangshuo.

In Guiyang, 3 stations are involved. In comparison, the North Railway Station enjoys more convenient transportation system, with many public buses as well as Subway Line 1 available. The East Railway Station is newer, but has less bus routes around.

There is another station called Longdongbao which is located in the terminal 2 of Guiyang Longdongbao Airport, a stop of subway line 2. It is very convenient for passengers to transfer between the airport and the North or East Railway Station.
 If you fail to get tickets for the above direct trains, you could also consider going to Guilin first. The trains stop by Guilin West/ Guilin North Railway Station. Then passengers could easily take a high speed train between Guilin and Yangshuo. If you are for sightseeing purpose, a day trip in Guilin is a nice idea. Then you can try the Li River cruise sailing from Guilin to Yangshuo to enjoy the beautiful natural mountains and karst landforms along the riverside. Of course, you can follow the plan in the opposite direction.
