Guiyang - Yangshuo Train
There are 7-8 high speed trains from Guiyang to Yangshuo daily and about 13 for the return trip. Passengers can travel between the two cities in around 3 hours. At one side, all use Yangshuo Railway Station, while at the other side, some use Guiyang East Railway Station and some use Guiyang North Railway Station. A second class seat costs CNY 177 - 183 based on different operating stations. At present, no normal speed trains run between the two cities.

Running Route
Guiyang - Yangshuo high speed trains run along the Guiyang - Guangzhou High Speed Railway, one of the most important railways linking southwestern and southeastern China. For the Guiyang - Yangshuo section, major stops along the way include Longdongbao, Duyun East, Sanjiang South, Sanduxian, Longli North, Rongjiang, Congjiang, and Guilin West.
In Yangshuo, there is only one railway station so passengers have no other choices. It is located at Xingping Town and about 22 kilometers (14 miles) from downtown Yangshuo. There are mini buses from this station to the Xingping Town and downtown Yangshuo.
In Guiyang, there are two stations involved, namely, the North Railway Station and the East Railway Station. In comparison, the North Railway Station enjoys more convenient transportation system, with many public buses as well as Subway Line 1 available. The East Railway Station is newer, but has less bus routes around.
Along the way, there is a station called Longdongbao which is located in the terminal 2 of Guiyang Longdongbao Airport. It is very convenient for passengers to transfer between the airport and the North or East Railway Station.
If you fail to get tickets for the above direct trains, you could also consider going to Guilin first. All the trains stop by Guilin West Railway Station. Then passengers could easily take a high speed train between Guilin and Yangshuo. If you are for sightseeing purpose, a day trip in Guilin is a nice idea. Then you can try the Li River cruise sailing from Guilin to Yangshuo to enjoy the beautiful natural mountains and karst landforms along the riverside. Of course, you can follow the plan in the opposite direction.

ReplyFirst class seats on train D2812 from Yangshuo to Guiyang North
We prefer a train at Guiyang North Station, but there is no any first class seats available. Is there any advice to get first class tickets?

First class seats hardly for sale on D2812 as Yangshuo is not its beginning station, but a stopover on its way. Occasionally, a few seats may release when travel date is approaching, but not always. It may safer if you book second class seats first and try for an upgrade on the train if there are free first class at that time. Sorry about the inconvenience and hope for your kind understanding.

00ReplyDefinitely Guiyang North Station, in walking distance. The problem is that most trains to Yangshuo go from the East Station instead.

00ReplyThe bus ticket price is around CNY20 per person, the duration is around 1 hour on the way. The bus seems runs around every 1 hour or so.
