Bullet trains are fast, better equipped, and punctual in most cases. The ticket price is also reasonable. For Beijing-Hangzhou route, there are more departures than the normal types. It’s pretty convenient and has become the first choice of more and more travelers.
Although traveling by non-bullet train take a relatively long time, it saves the day time as all of the three pairs run overnight and travelers can save hotel expenses as well. The ticket price is cheap. It is a good choice for those on a budget trip.
Of course, you can also choose traveling by flight and it only takes 2 hours or so between the two cities. However, the airports are located in the outskirts. Usually, you need to spare at least an hour to/from the airport. In this way, it is not that time-saving compared with high speed trains. Also, the flight tickets are usually more expensive than railway tickets.

Departure station of overnight train D717 and D711.
I saw the departure station is Beijing, the same as K101. Is that means they also depart from Beijing Railway Station though they are D trains?

It is not hard to travel, you can use metro line 4 directly from the South Station to Xinjiekou, exit B. The hostel is around 900m away. The metro line is still in service at 9pm.

If your flight land in time and there is no delay on the way, it is OK to catch G39 at 7:04pm. One hour prepared for luggage collection and immigration check at airport, around 80min by metro line (Airport Express line + line 2+ line 4) to railway station. At least one hour prepared at railway station for ticket collection and security check.

Wheelchair accessible
Are the bullet trains from Hangzhou to Beijing wheelchair accessible? Is any train better than another?

All the bullet rides should be wheelchair accessible, but you still need to move to the seat after boarding. It would be better to reach the station very early in advance. In case you need any help, you can try to find a station staff for inquiry.
