Major cities along the way:

 Wuhan:
Wuhan is the capital city of Hubei Province. Traveling to the city, you can find not only historical relics such as Yellow Crane Tower, but also natural beauties including East Lake and Mo Hill. In addition, Wuhan is a transportation hub for central China. Three railway stations named as Wuhan, Wuchang and Hankou serve many railroads passing the city. You can take trains from here to almost every city in China.

 Liuzhou:
As a city in the north-central part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the city is not far from Guilin. You can take bullet trains from here to Guilin and it only takes an hour or so. Meantime, because the city is home to a large population of ethnic minorities, many festivals and celebration will be held every year, which will be a good way to experience the different culture and customs.

Flight

Many direct flights are available between the two cities. The flight travel takes about 3.5 hours, but the air ticket will cost more. However, in low seasons, flight tickets may be cheaper than bullet train tickets.

Thank you for your inquiry.

G19 is indeed a very popular train with top speed of 350km/h. The Railway Company prefer to sale tickets to the final destination firstly so there are very few tickets offered to Nanjing. If you do want to take this G19, you may consider to buy a ticket to Shanghai but get off in advance at Nanjing. Hope this information can help you.

Hello! Would you please help me to clarify the number after train time?
When I searching the schedule on your website, there is a number "+1" after K21, Z5, Z285 and "+2" on T289. I am not sure what does these mean? By the way, 16:09 is 4:09pm right? I am looking for train Z5. Thank you!

There are indeed some cities like Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Changsha and Guilin etc. worth a visit, however, with one ticket directly to Nanning, it cannot work. If you stopped at one of the stations along the way, you cannot use that ticket again anymore. If you plan to break the trip apart, you need to plan it in advance and buy ticket separately for each section. Or maybe you can consider the flight as well.
