Chengdu to Lijiang Train

Nowadays, a pair of high speed trains are running between Chengdu South Railway Station and Lijiang Railway Station, taking around 9 hours. CNY 376 is needed for a second class seat.

For more high speed trains to Lijiang, passengers can make a transfer at Kunming Railway Station. By this way, the total travel time on the train is around 13 hours and the total ticket cost for a second class seat is CNY 454.

The direct flight from Chengdu to Lijiang is also a choice. It will take 1 - 1.5 hours to complete a single ride.

If you want to have a rest, you can choose to stay in Kunming for one night. After enough rest, you can take the high speed train to Lijiang. If time permitting, you can also take this opportunity to visit Kunming for one or two days.
 There are around 6 flights shuttling from Chengdu to Lijiang on a daily basis. A ticket price of an economy class seat ranges from CNY 300 to CNY 800. It takes about 1 - 1.5 hours to complete a single ride.
 Visit Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Gorge) is a famous scenic spot in Lijiang. It is one of the deepest gorges in the world. The scenery here is magnificent, especially for those who like to explore, which is undoubtedly the most yearning landscape. Then the Lijiang Old Town is a good place to experience the local folk customs. Strolling along the ancient streets, you can see the folk houses, stone bridges and lucid rivers.
 Square Street is an ideal place for visitors to enjoy the Yunnan local snacks. Some snacks, such as Cross-bridge Rice Noodle, Jidou Liangfen, and Baba are also sold here. Hua Hua Shen Restaurant and the Old Town Beef Restaurant are very famous in Lijiang.
 On the return trip from Lijiang to Chengdu, you still need to change in Kunming. There are 9 high speed trains from Lijiang to Kunming and over 7 Kunming to Chengdu South high speed trains, whose whole duration on the train is around 10.5 - 12 hours with CNY 454.

Passengers can also take flights. There are around 8 flights shuttling from Lijiang to Chengdu on a daily basis. It takes about 1.5 hours to complete a single ride.
