With a length of 514 kilometers (319 miles), Shenzhen – Xiamen section has been put into use since December 28th, 2013. Its top running speed reaches 250 km/h (155 mph), reducing the duration to 2.5 – 4 hours.
Xiamen – Fuzhou high speed railway, as the first cross-sea high speed railway with a design speed of 350km/h (217 mph), has been put into use since September 28th, 2023. The journey time between the two cities is shortened to 1 – 4 hours.
Direct flights are available between the two cities. The duration for a single trip is about 1.5 hours, which will be a better choice for those who travel in a hurry. But the ticket fare is a little bit expensive. Even a discount is offered, the ticket fare for an economy class seat is over CNY1,000. If count in the travel time to/from airports and time used for boarding, the total consumed time of flights may be around 5 hours. In this case, it has no much difference from the consumed time of high speed trains. In this case, high speed trains may be a good choice, especially for budget travelers as they are much cheaper.

to Hyatt Regency Fuzhou Cangshan and airport
I am considering which station should I alight? And also, is the hotel far from the airport? How long it takes by taxi? Is it easy to find taxi at the station and in cities? Thank you.

The distance from both stations are almost the same, around 17 or 19km etc. By taxi, both would be around 30min. There are more rides stop at the South Station, so maybe this can be your option. The airport is indeed very far from the hotel, more than 50km and takes around 1 hour by taxi. Taxi can always be found at a station or airport. It is also easy to get taxi in city during day time. If you need help, you can ask your hotel to find a taxi for you.
