Questions & Answers on Guangzhou - Kunming Train

Our flight will land at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport at 10:25am
We would like to head to Kunming after landing. We are wondering if we can catch a train at 1pm? Do you recommended flight or train?

I would have to say the time is almost impossible to catch a train at 1pm if you landing by international flight. Taking 1 hour at airport, 1.5 hour to railway station, 1 hour at station, you would need one at least later 2pm. Flight is faster indeed but flight time seems not suitable for your flight landing. Maybe high speed rail is a better option in your case.

Which campus do you need to go to? Yuhua Campus or Lianhua Campus? If for Yuhua Campus in Chenggong district, it is closer to Kunming South Station. If for Lianhua Campus, it is closer to Kunming Station, the main station.

Well, there is free wifi offered based on the news I read. However, from my experience on other trains, you need to use it under support of Wechat!

It is indeed a long distance trip, maybe more than 30km. You can take metro line 1 (the branch line) to Chunrongjie first and then change to line 1, the main line to Huanchengnanlu. Then change to line 2 there and get off at Chuanxingulou, exit D. Finally, you need to walk about 200m to east direction and take bus No. 95 (bus 119 and k14 can also work) to Qingyunjie bus stop. The hostel is about 200m in distance.
