Is there any recommended hotel near Guangzhou South Station?
We are planning to take the 8am train to Shanghai and wondering if 30min would be sufficient at station?

You can consider like Meiduo Apartment, Days Suites and Lavande Hotel etc. I think 30min would be a little rush even with tickets in hand. Maybe 45min would feel easier. You can consider to have the paper ticket delivered to your hotel so it do not need extra time for paper ticket exchange.
