Chengdu - Xining Train

Until now, only 2 pairs of high speed trains are serving between Chengdu and Xining. A single trip takes about 9 - 10 hours and the second class seats costs CNY 286.

There are also over 3 pairs of normal speed trains running between. They take about 12 to 15.5 hours and the ticket costs CNY 377.5 for a soft sleeper and CNY 247.5 for a hard sleeper.

All of the normal trains are operated between Chengdu West Railway Station and Xining Railway Station with the distance from 1,044 to 1,388 km (648 - 862 miles). Major stations along the way include: Deyang, Mianyang, Jiangyou, Guangyuan, Longnan, Hadapu, Minxian, Weiyuan, Lanzhou.Since plenty of bullet trains are operated between Chengdu East and Xi'an North meanwhile some high speed ones are serving between Xi'an North and Xining, a transfer in Xi'an makes the travel by high speed train possible and traveling in this way can save you some time and provide you more choices.
