Clothes: To cope with the large temperature difference mentioned above, you are advised to wear long-sleeve T-shirts, blouses, or thin knitwear plus jeans or sweatpants; then, add a trench coat or other thin overcoat to protect yourself against the coldness in mornings and at nights. If you plan to go to high-altitude spots like Huanglong, you need to pack thicker clothes like sweaters and thermal pants as the inner layers and windbreakers and sweatpants as the outer layers.

Shoes: Since you may walk a lot, it is advised to bring comfortable sneakers or walking shoes.

Others: Considering occasional rainfall, you’d better bring umbrellas or raincoats. Moreover, you may need a bag for your taken-off overcoat at noon. To protect yourself from the UV rays, you are recommended to bring sunglasses and sunscreen.
