Shanghai Suburban Railway Airport Link Line
The Shanghai Suburban Railway Airport Link Line running from the east to west is an urban railroad connecting the crucial transportation hub, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Hongqiao Railway Station and Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The one-way journey takes only 40 minutes with a maximum speed of 160km/h (99.4mile/h).
Operating from 06:00 to 22:39 with an interval of 15 minutes, this suburban railway airport link line is 59 kilometers (36.7 miles) long with 7 stations at present and two stations, T3 of Pudong Airport and Shanghai East Railway Station are under construction. As for fares, the starting price is CNY 4 and the full fare is CNY 26.
From the arrival hall of T2, Hongqiao Airport or Hongqiao Railway Station to the suburban railway station, it takes only about 5 minutes by foot. There are luggage holders above the seats for large suitcases and the whole train is wheelchair accessible with special space for wheelchairs. You can also charge your mobile phone on the train.
