Tianjin - Pingyao Train

Currently, only one pair of normal speed overnight sleeper trains are running between Tianjin and Pingyao. They are operated between Tianjin Railway Station and Pingyao Railway Station, which takes about 10.5 or 11.5 hours for a single trip.  The running distance between the two cities is 766 kilometers (476 miles). It costs around CNY 190 for a hard sleeper ticket and CNY 285 for a soft sleeper ticket.

Up to now, there is no through bullet train serving this route. If the timetable cannot meet your travel schedule, make a transfer in Beijing, by which way bullet types will be available to save you a lot of time.Major stations along the way include Jinghai, Cangzhou, Botou, Dongguang, Dezhou, Hengshui, Xinji, Jinzhou, Shijiazhuang North, Yangquan North, Taiyuan, Yuci, QixianSince between Tianjin and Beijing, plenty of high speed trains are available and Beijing and Pingyao have also been connected by bullet ones, traveling in this way can save you a lot of time and provide you more options.

2. If traveling as mentioned above, it is necessary for you to transfer between Beijing South and Beijing North Railway Station. The subway line 4 is recommended, which takes about 26 minutes as a whole. To shuttle from Beijing South to Qinghe Railway Station, passengers can take subway line 4 and transfer to line 13 at Xizhimen stop, taking around 1 hour in total.1. Since there is only one pair of overnight sleeper trains traveling between Tianjin and Pingyao, to guarantee a smooth trip, it is recommended to order the tickets as early as possible in case of being sold out in a short time.
2. From Pingyao Railway Station to the Ancient City of Pingyao, it is advised to take the bus line 102 or line 1, which takes about 20 minutes.
3. If you choose to take high speed trains, you will arrive at Pingyao Ancient City Railway Station. From here to the Ancient City of Pingyao, the bus line 108 is recommended and it takes about 30 minutes on the way.
