Hong Kong - Luoyang High Speed Train

High speed trains do not connect Hong Kong with Luoyang directly. Passengers need to transfer in Zhengzhou, Shenzhen, or Guangzhou. The high speed rail between Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and Luoyang Longmen Station is around 1,890 km (1,174 mi) long. To finish the distance, it takes the high speed trains about 7.5 - 10 hours, and CNY 900 - 1,100 (USD 127 - 155) for a second class seat.

Running Route of Bullet Train Between Hong Kong and Luoyang

The combined train running route of the above options is same. It contains three parts: Hong Kong – Guangzhou, Guangzhou – Zhengzhou and Zhengzhou – Luoyang.

Hong Kong - Guangzhou
Known as Guangzhou - Shenzhen - Hong Kong High Speed Railway, it has a distance of about 142 km (88 mi). On the way lie 5 major railway stations, namely, Qingsheng, Humen, Guangmingcheng, Shenzhen North and Futian. The duration on this part is 46min to 1h13min.

Guangzhou - Zhengzhou

Existed as one important part of Beijing - Guangzhou High Speed Railway, it has a distance as long as about 1,605 km (997 mi). There are many stations on the line, including Qingyuan, Shaoguan, Leiyang West, Hengyang East, Zhuzhou West, Changsha South, Yueyang East, Xianning North, Wuhan, Xinyang East, Zhumadian West and Xuchang East.

Zhengzhou – Luoyang
The distance of this part is about 143 km (89 mi). Bullet trains will pass Zhengzhou West Station and Gongyi South Station on this short journey.

Hi, would you please kindly advise a convenient way to leave Longmen Station?

We are planning to stay at Luoyang YuShe Boutique Hotel. Is this hotel recommended and easy to reach from station?

The hotel is not very far from the high speed station, maybe 6km. There are some direct bus like 49, 75 and 88 can be used (to Tai Kang Lu Wang Cheng Da Dao Kou). The hotel seems good by their reviews.

Hello, can I collect both tickets in HK?

Can I collect the tickets for both trips from HK to Guangzhou and Guangzhou to Luoyang together in Luoyang?

Yes, you can collect the tickets together in HK West Kowloon station. The tickets to Guangzhou need to be collected from counter 11 to 25 free of charge. The tickets to Luoyang need to be collected from counter 1 to 10 with extra charge 30 HK dollars per ticket.

Is it more recommended to make the transfer in Zhengzhou or Shenzhen?

Personally speaking, I prefer the transfer in Shenzhen. There are more options. If transfer in Zhengzhou, the 8am one is the only choice. If go via Shenzhen, you can choose other later one. Also, the ticket price is also lower!
