Yes, by checking schedule for Nov and Dec, there should be 3 daily flights, at 10a, 10:30am and 6pm. The price is very reasonable at this time. If you happen to travel during these days, they are good options.

I am not sure if I get you right, you would like to get off at a stop along the way for a short visiting and back to the train? This plan would not work as once you get off at halfway, we will never be able to get back. So you need to plan a trip in advance. Personally speaking, I recommended Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuhan and Changsha.

Hello, I do wish to book business class seats since I am traveling with seniors.
But it seems no business class seats offered on all trains? Is this possible?

There is indeed business class seats on these rides, but they are usually offered to longer trips from beginning stations etc. So it is hard to get from Guilin, a stopover in halfway. Maybe you can book a seat available now and ask for an upgrade after boarding if there are free seats. But indeed this is a chance, not 100% success.
