When buying tickets, passengers are advised to take Z and T types as their first choices. What’s more, overnight sleeper trains are highly recommended as they can save one-night accommodation fee and allow you to have a good rest.
Passengers can also travel by flight taking 1 - 2 hours. However, flight ticket is usually expensive than rail ticket and flight delay may happen frequently because of the weather change and air traffic control. As the airports are usually a little far from the downtown area and if the travel time to/from airports and time for boarding are all counted in, the total consumed time of high speed trains and flights has no big difference.

Well, it depend on which train you will use. Some of them use the main station in Beijing and some use the South Station. You can figure it out by using train code. D rides use the main station and G type use the South Station.
