We are going to stay for 6 nts & are travelling with family which includes 2 children obviously we will be going to disneyland 2 out of the 6 but I have read that if you stay close to disneyland there is not much outside of the resort ie restaurant, bars etc. Also we will be doing some sightseeing on the other days so want to base are self's within easy access( A) disneyland (B) with access to transport & bars restaurants. Also could you advise if the taxis are affordable & reliable? & are all major cards accept ie mastercard/ visa.

Shanghai Disneyland is pretty far from other famous attractions. I advise you to stay at the hotels inside the resort and after you finish your two days tour, go to stay at a hotel in the city center for other 4 days' sightseeing. Although taxis are reliable and affordable, I recommend to buy a three day pass of Shanghai metro. And taxis do not accept foreign cards at present so you need to pay in cash, Alipay or Wechat pay.

Then you may stay near Jiangsu Rd. Metro Station, connected with Disney Land and the city center by metro lines. Visa and Mastercard are not widely available.
