In October, the prices of attractions and hotels in Shanghai may be higher than usual, so you should find out about the prices in advance and be ready for crowds in attractions. In order to prevent skin drying, put on some skin-care cream. If your lips are dry, do not wet your lips with your tongue. Use lipstick or lip salve to keep the lips moist.

Bring some commonly used items, such as band-aid, alcohol sponge, anti- inflammation medication, and sulfanilamide powder. You can also use a silk scarf to protect yourself against the wind.

Oct 28 to Nov 3. Are these dates crowded specially when travelling with toddlers and infant?..

No, they will not be too crowded and the temperature in SH may be about 8-15C. You are suggested to prepare some warm clothes like warm jackets and sweaters.

Do I go on an overall China Tour on Oct 4 or Oct 18 th for drier weather ?

I am debating going on a Smart China tour for 18 days to many parts of China / Hong Kong on either October 4th or October 18th ? I prefer less chances of being rained on during our 18 days of touring. Please advise . Thank you.

Generally speaking, it’s much drier in Northern than Southern. But overall, the rain won’t be much during the month. Have a nice trip!

Absolutely not. It is one of the most popular destinations in China and will be very crowded during that time which will be during Chinese National Day Holiday. You'd better change the schedule.

Where should we go in Shanghai to see falling foliage from 20th of October to 25th October?

Well, many roads won't clean the foliages in autumn like Yinshan Rd in Pudong District, and West Nanjing Rd in Jing’an District. You may go and enjoy!

Apart from that, you can also enjoy in the parks, such as Jinqiao Park, Century Park and Jing'an Park.
