The weather is unpredictable. Sometimes when Shanghai is hit by cold air, it seems that winter has not gone yet. Bring sweater and overcoat. Light coat and long-sleeve T-shirts are enough under the sun.

Things to Do in Shanghai in March

It is the best time enjoying peach blossoms. Each year, Longhua Pagoda holds temple fair on 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month, when the peaches are in full blossom. It is great to experience folk culture and enjoy beautiful scenery in fine weather. Dianfeng Village in Zhujiajiao is a close rival. More than 600 acres of peach trees present a sea of flowers. There are many newly-developed species. You may also get to visiting Peach Blossom Bay.

If you are allergic to pollen, other attractions, such as Yu Garden, Wild Animal Park and Happy Valley are friendlier. People with allergy are advised to wear a mask and take anti-allergic medication before going out, and wash their hands on coming back. It is the month of interchanging seasons, a likely time for the flu, so be hygienic, get the habit of frequent hand washing. Carry your cold medicine. Always be weather conscious on planning a tour. Damp mornings and evenings make it inhospitable to watch peach blossoms. Do avoid such time.

i will be travelling to shanghai between 19-24 march, may i know do i need to bring hettech? is it very windy and cold

Generally, the temperature during the period ranges from 10-20C and it is windy, but not very cold. However, it is still suggested to prepare hettech.

It will be 5C to 15C in the following days. It will be cool and comfortable. You are prepare jackets, thin sweaters, jeans, pants and long-sleeved shirts.

According to the weather forecast, it will be 5C to 10C in the following days. It may have rainy day. But it won't influence the sightseeing. Don't worry. You are suggested to prepare jackets, thin sweaters, jeans, pants and sneakers. :)

Based on the previous statistics, the temperature may range from 10C to 20C during that period of time. It will be cool and comfortable. Thus you don't need to bring down jackets and other winter clothes.
