In this case, you can make the trip, though you cost a little more than you are supposed to.
As many high speed trains go through the two cities, they become good connection to go to other cities. From Tianjin, you can go to Shenyang, Dalian, Changchun, as well as Harbin. From Nanjing, you can go to Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou.

From Xinjiekou to Nanjing South Station by subway
We are staying at Novotel Nanjing Central near Xinjiekou. We want to know when subway begin in service here to train station?

Line 1 starts at 5:57am from Xinjiekou station to South Station. Changfu station of line 3 starts at 6:27am to South Station.

Why is the train G5 much faster than others?
Is there any difference between them?

G5 is the new high speed ride and runs a top speed of 350km/h. It is faster than other high speed rides. And less stops on the way too!
