Questions & Answers on Qingdao - Weihai Train
Asked by Bryan from SINGAPORE | Nov. 12, 2019 16:34Reply
Necessary to buy tickets in advance for short trip between Qingdao and Weihai?
I saw you says tickets only begin for sale 9 days in advance. Is it same even at your New Year’s Holiday? I plan to visit Weihai around Jan 22 or 23. Should i book them 9 days ahead?

Thank you for your inquiry.
Your travel date is 1 to 2 days before the New Year Eve, the ticket availability is very hard to say. However, for Qingdao and Weihai, winter time is considered season there, we suppose it should be possible to get a ticket. We suggest you to check ticket availability for some earlier days first around 15 days in advance as a reference. If tickets are limited on many earlier days, we suggest you to book tickets online in advance. Hope this information can help you.

Yes, no problem! When you buy a ticket, it does not need to be departure station. You can do it at any train station, even stations in other city!
Asked by Nanette from AUSTRALIA | Jan. 15, 2019 00:13Reply
All the tickets are sold out?
I want to travel on Jan 31 from Qingdao to Weihai, but it shows all tickets are sold out, even on 29 and 30! Is there any other way to get a ticket? Can I get one at station?

Thank you for your inquiry.
We are sorry for the confusion about ticket availability. For this trip, the tickets only begin for sale 9 days before the departure date, much shorter than other trips. Therefore, there is no ticket availability for all dates more than 9 days from now. You may wait a few more days and submit the booking online on the 9th day before departure date. Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
