Incentive Tour to Sanya

From June 16th to 20th, our model staff of 2013 took an incentive tour to Sanya, the “Eastern Hawaii” in China.
After a short rest upon landing, they strolled to Dadonghai to hug the sea and appreciate breathtaking sunset over the sea. Then, they headed to No. 1 Market to enjoy a sea food dinner and returned with pockets full of tropical fruits. Fascinated by the blue sky, silver beach and clear sea, they spent the whole second day at Asian Dragon Bay, one of the world’s most beautiful bays. On the third day, they drove by the beautiful long corridor of coconut trees to reach Tianya Haijiao, which was believed to be 'the furthermost part of the sky and the sea' in ancient China. The fourth day was a free day: some of the staff went to the Betelnut Valley to experience the culture of local Li and Miao nationalities; some went diving at Wuzhizhou Island; and some had a leisure day at Sanya Bay. On the last day in Sanya, they headed to the Duty Free Store, Pedestrian Street and fruit market for shopping.
During the visit, our staff not only enjoyed tropical scenery and coastal landscapes, but also had an experience as actual tourists, hence can better service our customers in the future.

TravelChinaGuide Successfully Host an 83 Strong Student Group!

From April 22 to 27, we successfully hosted a tour for 83 students visiting Xi'an, Hanzhong city, Dongzhou Children’s Village and Xianyang city. The students, mainly from US and Italy, came to China as part of a long-term study exchange program. By traveling around China, living with local families and attending Chinese schools, they will gain a comprehensive understanding of this beautiful country.
Since they are here for education and it was their first trip to Shaanxi, we selected Shaanxi’s most representative cities and places. In Xi'an, they visited the world famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Bell & Drum Towers, Xi'an City Wall, Big and Small Wild Goose Pagodas, and Xi'an Museum. In Hanzhong, they went to the Ancient Plank Road, Wuhou Memorial Temple and Ancient Hantai. Through visiting these places, they got to know more about Chinese history.
The most impressive activity was the visit to Sanyuan Dongzhou Children’s Village. The village is a special shelter for children whose parents have been executed or are serving a prison sentence. The children are provided with the necessities of life, accommodation, education and so on, so that they can grow up to be healthy and happy adults and have a chance for a productive and successful future. The students visit brought happiness to the local children, and communicating with different people will broaden the learning of the children in the village and the students.

2014 Annual Banquet and Award Ceremony

On Jan 11, 2014, the annual banquet of our company was held in Guoli Renhe Sichuan Cuisine Restaurant at 17:00, attended by staff and their family members. As well, a special guest, our volunteer Jenni Johnston, also joined us. The banquet started with a speech by our deputy manager, summarizing the work in the past year, giving thanks to all the staff’s diligent work and special thanks to the contribution from the volunteers and encouraging all staff to provide better service for travelers in the future.

Then came the highlight of party, the Award Ceremony for six elite staff from five different departments. The staff representative expressed his thanks for the support from the company, colleagues and even his family members.
Then followed by some wonderful performances: Medley of Songs, a dance named “Gentleman” and a Lucky Draw Section. The fantastic performances won thunderous applause from the audience and the Lucky Draw brought many staff good luck. Several interesting games among the performances, including: “Come on, Daddy!”, “Turnip, Squat!” and “Who is the undercover agent?” made everyone happy and relaxed. The game “Come on, Daddy!” joined by three dads in the company with their cute little kids, impressed the audience deeply. These dads are not only good employees, but also excellent dads for their kids.
A feast followed then and everyone toasted the Chinese New Year, wishing a happy and prosperous year to all. The staff very much enjoyed the delicious dinner.
