Day 1 Take flight from Australia to Kathmandu
Today, you can go to the airport either in Sydney or Melbourne on your own and then take a flight for Kathmandu. If you depart from Sydney, EK417 1605/0015 and EK2355 0220/0830 operated by Emirates Airlines are recommended. You will have a layover of about 2 hours in Dubai and the total journey takes nearly 21 hours. If departing from Melbourne, you can take flight EK409 0515/1310 to Dubai first. After a 13-hour layover, take flight EK2355 0220/0830 to Kathmandu. The total journey takes 31.5 hours.
Day 2 Arrival in Kathmandu & Visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square
The moment you touch down at Kathmandu Airport, your Nepal tours from Australia formally start. Our guide will wait for you at the airport and give you a warm greeting. Then the guide will accompany you to go to the hotel for some refreshment. In the afternoon, let's visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square located at the city center. You will be marveled at the over 50 classical temples and palaces built during period from the 16th to 19th century.

Day 3 Kathmandu highlights tour
After breakfast, we will drive to the Swayambhunath Stupa on a hilltop that is 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) to the west of the city center of Kathmandu. As many monkeys inhabit here, travelers prefer to call it the Monkey Temple. After a pleasant trip in the temple, we will move to the Patan Durbar Square. Though the size is not big, it's the best-preserved and most beautiful one among the three Durbar Squares in Nepal. Owing to the exquisite historical architectures, it is recognized worldwide as an outdoor museum. Next we will visit the Pashupatinath Temple, a place where deceased Hindus are cremated. The scenes may make you think of life and death. The last stop on the day is the Bouddhanath Stupa, which is characterized by the giant white dome and the all-seeing eyes of Buddha.

Day 4 Highlights tour to Bhaktapur & Transfer to Nagarkot (32km; 1 hour)
This morning, we will first visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, where a great many palaces, temples, stupas, and sculptures of the Malla Dynasty from the 14th to 15th century gather. Besides, we will explore the painting school, Pottery Square, Dattatraya Square and Peacock Window nearby. The wonderful arts will leave us a very deep impression. Later we will drive to Nagarkot, about 32 kilometers (20 miles) from Kathmandu. As the village is situated on a ridge that is opposite to the Himalayas, it provides a perfect angle to appreciate the Himalayas. After arrival, our guide will help you check in at the hotel.

Day 5 Sunrise in Nagarkot & Transfer to Chitwan by car (190km; 7 hours)
On day 5 of our Nepal tours from Australia, you can get up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise at the hotel. After breakfast, we will drive about seven hours to Chitwan and check in at the hotel. Upon arrival, we will visit a local village and get close touch with Tharus. After that, we will enjoy a cultural Stick Dance of Tharus in the resort.

Day 6 Full day Chitwan jungle safari
Chitwan National Park is a wonderland for different species of wild animals. You will spend an exciting day by taking part in various kinds of activities here, including the elephant and jeep safaris, rafting tours and guided jungle walks. We will also visit the elephant breeding camp, where there are more than 20 elephants, old and young. You will be touched by the harmonious interaction between the keepers and elephants.

Day 7 Private transfer from Chitwan to Lumbini (135km; 4 hours) & World Peace Pagoda tour
The arrangements for our Nepal tour packages from Australia on day 7 are as follows. First, we will drive four hours to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. After a short rest in the hotel, our guide will accompany you to head for the World Peace Pagoda at dusk. The pagoda was built to commemorate those who lost life in World War II. We can appreciate the beautiful sunset here in the lowland.

Today we will take a rickshaw tour around Lumbini. There are many temples in Lumbini, among which the Mayadevi Temple is the most famous one enshrining the mother of Sakyamuni. After touring the temple, our guide will also lead you to visit some other monasteries of various sects built by different countries like Nepal, China, Thailand, and Sri Lanka.

Day 10 Sarangkot sunrise & Pokhara tour
Located to the northwest of Pokhara, Sarangkot is an ideal place to watch the sun rise over the central and western Himalayas. Get up early and drive to Sarangkot, you will enjoy the stunning sunrise view. Afterward, we will successively visit the World Peace Stupa, Mahadev Cave, Davis Falls and Phewa Lake.

Day 11 Transfer from Pokhara back to Kathmandu by private car (200km; 6 hours)
Today we will drive back to Kathmandu. During the 6-hour journey, you can take in the wonderful landscape on the way. After we arrive in Kathmandu, our tour guide will assist you to check in at the hotel. In the rest of the day, you can explore the city by yourself.

Day 12 Departure from Kathmandu, Take flight back to Australia
Our Nepal tour packages from Australia conclude today. We will pick you up at the hotel after breakfast and transfer you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your homeward flight.

If planning to fly to Sydney, you can book flight EK2156 1935/2245. After a 3.5-hour layover in Dubai, take flight EK414 0215/2205 to the final destination. If you would like to fly to Melbourne, you can take flight EK2156 1935/2245 to Dubai and connect the flight EK408 0340/2150 after the 4-hour layover in Dubai.
