- LycurguzHassle free, family friendly Forbidden city-Mutianyu day tour!Helen, our tour guide was amazing. She catered to all our needs and she was really kind and friendly. Even with our slow pace (with kids) we're still able to finish all itineraries in time.
She also went above and beyond to ensure you get the best pictures. She also recommended us the itinerary for our own free time the next day (before flight).
Driver was kind and punctual. Moon also expedited our reservations smoothly. No hassle. - Sendy SAmazing!Helen Has been such a helpful guide to us! She even cares for the whole family members! Will recommend her in the more future!

Everything was quick but not rushed. The guide Kevin was nice and I felt like I was able to see the highlights in Beijing that I wanted to see while on the 144 Hour visa. - Japzz SGreat Wall and Forbidden City Experience. This group tour is worth it. - David KTerracota Army and highlights of Xian in winterI chose this option as was virtually the only small group tour on offer. Great attention and communication from the start and the guide, Roger, was first class. He was friendly and attentive and had an in depth knowledge of his subject. After the amazing Terracota Army, and an optional Lunch (do it, cheap and very good food) we ended the day on the city walls. Roger said 4 hours to do the circuit - it took me 2 and a half going like crazy. Take your time and maybe do half.

- Jill JAwesome experience with CelineWe had a great time in the Terracotta Army, the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, and the Ancient City Wall. Celine, our guide, was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure that her group enjoy the tour. She even gave us her WeChat account so that we can ask her any question we might have after the tour. We truly appreciate her help and would recommend this tour!
- SannibalGreat way to explore Xi'an sightsWe had an enriching day with Rita today as she shared detailed history of the areas that we had visited. Rita is an excellent and knowledgeable guide who took care of our needs well as our group was large with both elderly and young children. She was engaging and my children were reluctant to leave at the end of the tour. The pace of the tour was just right for our group and I would highly recommend this for anyone wishing to cover the major Xi'an sights in one day.
- Doris TTour in XianA truly valuable asset to the company she works for – Travel China Guide - a tour guide whom I found to be very knowledgeable, friendly and caring. I was witness to her wealth of intelligence, patience & sensitivity, as well as remaining calm in situations that required thoughtfulness & imperturbability. One of our tour members regrettably had to leave the tour a few days after the tour began due to some unforeseen and unexpected news from home. Unfazed with the complexity of the issue - re-arranging the guest's transport from mid touring, checking out of accommodations, re-arrangements of flights, etc., Carol resolved the situation quietly and expertly. She made tremendous efforts to ensure the guest was aware at all times of the progress of assisting him to return home as speedily as possible, showing forbearance with the anxious guest. Her conduct was remarkably exemplary.
On another occasion, she showed empathy to a member who took ill & physically took the individual to the pharmacy when said individual required medication. I too benefitted from her kindness, as she waited patiently at the airport as I transferred some of the personal items from my checked luggage to my hand luggage, simultaneously ensuring that I was correctly boarded for the next leg of my journey.
Not only is Carol an excellent guide and communicator of the famous sites that we visited, she went beyond her call of duty and gave equal attention to every member in our tour group, ensuring that each individual’s needs were more than satisfactorily met. What I was most impressed about of Carol is the professional, responsible and accountable manner she conducted of herself. Carol is an exceptional tour guide and I can confidently say, without hesitation and in a heartbeat that I am more than willing join any tour that Carol Chen is the team leader. Less

He spent time explaining the history and meanings behind all of the places, which helped give us an overall understanding of what we were seeing. In China, everything has meaning.
I would be very happy recommending families book a private Shanghai tour with TCG and hope you get Ryan as your guide. Less - crusinchicFabulous tripWe did the 14 day Beijing to China trip. - Mick GGuilin really puts on a show!As part of the excellent Classic China Tour we spent two days in Guilin with the very helpful and informative QiuyanLi as our guide for the area.
QiuyanLi ('Li' for short) met us at the airport and took us to the very impressive Reed Flute Cave complex which we really enjoyed. It can, apparently, be very busy but was not at all crowded when we visited so Li was able to show us around the caves without any difficulty.

QiuyanLi ('Li' for short) met us at the airport and took us to the very impressive Reed Flute Cave complex which we really enjoyed. It can, apparently, be very busy but was not at all crowded when we visited so Li was able to show us around the caves without any difficulty.
From there we headed towards the city to see Elephant Trunk Hill. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded and noisy around the best viewing areas when we visited making it hard to see the best views or hear all of the commentary, despite Li's best efforts.
Our hotel, the Sheraton, was in a great location close to the river and city centre and we found the buffet style breakfasts in the coffee shop were excellent though it was very crowded both mornings. Our room was OK but just a little tired and disappointing compared to some of the others on the tour. Two comfortable chairs would have been better that just one for a couple.
The city is very interesting and friendly with markets and food options of all sorts though we did encounter some issues with misunderstandings over language translations but that can all be part of the travel experience in a foreign country.
We discovered that one of the best (and reasonably priced) options for a local meal is, ironically, the Irish pub next to the hotel which had almost no Irish meal options but some excellent Chinese ones making it a favourite of many of the locals, including Li!
The artificial waterfall which flows over the side of the Waterfall Hotel in the city at certain times in the evening is as spectacular as it is unexpected and worth the short walk.
The beautiful cruise to Yangshuo on the Li River was outstanding and one of the highlights of the whole tour. Li came along and made sure we missed nothing. It was wonderful! We had been warned that the lunch provided on the cruise might be disappointing but we enjoyed it very much and found the hospitality on the boat to be excellent.
Yangshuo was a very interesting and attractive little town where we had time for a short break before heading out to the countryside to walk around a small farming village which was quite interesting and showed us a very different aspect to local life.
There was an optional evening cruise on the Li River in the city area. We nearly didn't bother but that would have been a huge mistake. It was breathtaking and another of the highlights of our whole trip! It is so good that we think it should be included as part of the main tour. Guilin really puts on a show! Li, again, came along to make sure that we really enjoyed ourselves.

The boats are quite comfortable, and the upper deck is large enough to accommodate all the tourists willing to spend time outside to soak in the magnificent panorama. Lunch provided on the boat is quite decent, with an option to purchase some extra items, which I greatly enjoyed local freshwater snails.
