Xi'an Weather in September

September marks the begining of the pleasant autumn in Xi'an, when the weather becomes cooler and cooler. In early September, it is still warm with the highest temperature at about 25°C (77°F); in middle and late September, it is cool. On sunny days, the weather bright and clear, and the wind is gentle and comfortable. Xi'an remains in its rainy season with an average of 10 rainy days in September. A temperature drop always comes along with an autumn rain.

You are recommended to bring summer clothes for early September and long-sleeved T-shirt, shirts and thin coats for cool and rainy days. Wet weather wear is essential in this month.

Things to Do in Xi'an in September

It is the best time of a year to climb Mt. Huashan, a famous and popular destination near Xi'an. Tourists mostly choose to climb at night so that they can reach the mountain top in the morning to catch the sunrise. You should take gloves, a raincoat, a walking stick, necessary medicines, a flashlight and enough clothes with you. If you forget to bring clothes, rental service of overcoat for CNY30 – 50 per person is available on the mountain. Bring some small snacks with you in case of hunger. Don't drink too much during your climb as there are only a few toilets on the mountain. Mountains in the southern suburbs of Xi'an are also good choices in September.

Hiking in Hua shan

Do I need a guide to hike Hua Shan and if so, where can I engage them?

Based on the previous weather statistics, the temperature may range from 15C to 25C during that period of time. It will be cool and comfortable. You are suggested to prepare long-sleeved shirts, jeans and sneakers. :)

How do i fly from Singapore to Xi'an?

Two direct planes are available, and they leave at 09:20 and 16:55. The former will stopover in Fuzhou, and the latter arrives directly within 5.5h.

Is it still hot in early September of Xi'an?

I read the temperature charts but a local person told me the weather is still quite hot through all of September.
Can you comment?

In early September, it may be cloudy and rain lightly sometimes. The temperature may range from 70F to 85F. It is not very hot, but comfortable. By the way, the best time to pay a city to the city is in September and October. May you have a wonderful time! :)

Weather in xian in sept.

we will be visiting this city in second week of september and would like to know the weather at that time in the city and whether we should bring summer clothes and one light sweater or light coat and should we bring umbrella too in case it rained?Thanks a million for your advise and help. best regards.

It is suggested to take your short-sleeved clothes and a thin coat for the nights and morning time and in case of the rain.
In my opinion, it is no need to take an umbrella, because it will not rain frequently. If it rains, you can buy one at local supermarket.
