November is the month when Xi'an enters the cold winter and dry season. In late November, the city may experience its first snow, which is not big. Cloudy and windy weather is the majority. It snows and rains slightly and occasionally.

If you are a sports lover, you can not miss the Xi'an City Wall Marathon, a fixture since 1993. It is held annually on the ancient city wall in early November. Thousands of athletes from many countries, different provinces of China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan attend this sports event. The route is 5 kilometer long. Prepare well and enjoy the competition! If you fear coldness, indoor attractions such as the Stele Forest and Hanguang Entrance Remains Museum are recommended, where you can appreciate valuable relics.

is one day trip enough to cover huashan hiking?

Yes, one day is enough. If you have enough time, you can stay at the hotel on the top of the mountain and enjoy seeing the sunrise in the next early morning. :)

Is it too cold for Asians to visit Xi'an around 20th Nov to 5th Dec?

It will be cold then, with the temperature range of 26 – 50F. You can wear sweaters, down jacket and boots. If it is sunny, it will be warm in the daytimes. Besides, there is heating indoors in winter, so don’t worry.
