Nanjing Metro Line S1, namely the Ninggao Line, is a suburban subway line in Nanjing, linking South Railway Station and Nanjing Lukou International Airport and ending at Airport New City Jiangning. This line is planned to be constructed in two phases. This line is around 37.3km (23.2mi) long and has nine stations. It takes 45 minutes from the south railway station to the airport and the trains run around every 10 minutes. The fare for the whole airport line is CNY7.

Line S7 is another suburban line running from Airport New City Jiangning in the north to Wuxiangshan in the south, passing Zhetang District and Lishui District via 9 stations: Airport New City Jiangning, Zhetang, Airport New City Lishui, Qunli, Wolonghu, Lishui, Zhongshan Lake, Xingzhuang and Wuxiang Mountain. Besides S1 and S7, there are another six S lines planned. All the S series lines will link the city proper and suburban areas and even other cities.
