Nanjing Long-Distance Bus

Nanjing road transportation plays a very important role in local transportation, especially long-distance bus transportation. There are mainly 8 long-distance bus stations in Nanjing which provide routes to almost every cities of China which make it very convenient from the city to other places. The followings are the brief descriptions of the 8 stations.
 

Built in 1930, it is the general bus station of Nanjing City serving the most passengers. It is located at 1, Jianning Lu, Xiaguan District and about one stop away from the city's Railway Station. There are a group of buildings surrounding this station, including Nanjing Commercial Mansion, Xianfeng Outlets Marketplace, Jinsheng Department Store, Jinqiao Market and Yuqiao Market. Zhongyangmen Long-Distance Bus Station undertakes most road transportation needs.

 Buses to Shanghai: There are as many as 20 buses from Zhongyangmen Long-distance Bus Station to Shanghai everyday. The first one starts at 06:00 and the last one departs at 18:30. The ticket fare is about CNY68. It takes about 4 hours. 
 Buses to Hangzhou: There are about 36 buses from Zhongyangmen Long-distance Bus Station to Hangzhou everyday. It operates from 06:20 to 20:00, every 20 minutes once. The ticket fare is about CNY120. The duration time is about four hours.
 

Located in eastern suburb, it occupies an area of about 1 acre. It provides about 86 routes to cities in other provinces, including Anhui, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Hebei, Jiangxi and Hunan.

 Buses to Hangzhou: There are about 34 buses from the Eastern Long-distance Bus Station to Hangzhou everyday. It operates from 06:40 to 20:20. The ticket fare is about CNY120.

At every bus station of Nanjing, passengers could purchase tickets of buses departing from any of the bus stations three days in advance. 
Ticket Window at bus station: There are about 200 ticket windows which are networking in 12 long-distance bus stations. Passengers can buy tickets of almost 400 buses every day at any windows.
Social Networking Ticket Outlets: There are about 120 networking ticket outlets set in downtown Nanjing, mainly affixed with post offices and social outlets.  
Self-help Ticket Outlets: There are 10 suites of self-help ticket machines in the city. They are located at Jiaotong Building Xinjiekou, Tongshan Town, Xianlin Campus of Nanjing University, Shuangting Garden Jinxing College Pukou, Hanzhongmen Bus Station, Trade Center of Jiangning University City, Nanjing Normal University Xianlin (West Campus and South Campus) and Nanjing transportation manage center.
