How to Travel from Hong Kong to Shenzhen

Hong Kong and Shenzhen face each other across the Shenzhen River. The fastest way to travel from Hong Kong to Shenzhen is taking a high speed train, which only takes around 20min with frequent departures daily. In addition, tourists can take MTR/subway or city bus to arrive at Luohu Port, Huanggang Port and Futian Port first, then pass the border and enter Shenzhen. Flexible buses have many departures and arrival stations in the two cities, which provides more choices for tourists. Direct ferries are also a feasible way, operating from HKIA Skypier or HK Sheung Wan Ferry Terminal to Shenzhen Shekou or Fuyong Port.

2. Cheapest Way: MTR or City Bus

Via Luohu Port
→ Take Hong Kong MTR East Rail Line to Lo Wu Station.
→ Follow the signs to reach Hong Kong Customs.
→ Get through customs and cross the border, then arrive at Shenzhen.

Via Futian Port
→ Take Hong Kong MTR East Rail Line or Bus No. B1 to Lok Ma Chau Station.
→ Follow the signs to Futian Port.
→ Clear the customs and cross the border to reach Shenzhen.

Via Huanggang Port:
Take Bus No. 605, 76K or B1 and get off at Huanggang Port. Get off there and clear the Hong Kong Customs to reach Shenzhen.

How to Travel from Hong Kong to Shenzhen Bao'an Airport

1. Bus: Take a direct coach from busy places in HK like Plaza Hollywood, Causeway Bay Times Square/ Prince Edward/ Tsuen Wan Nina Tower/ Ocean Park/ Disneyland Park ... to Shenzhen Bao'an Airport: 1-2h, HKD100-250

2. High Speed Train + Metro:
→ Take a high speed train from West Kowloon Railway Station to Shenzhen Futian Railway Station: 20min, CNY68 for a second class seat
→ Take metro line 11 to Bao'an Airport Station: 30min, CNY7

3. Ferry + Metro:
→ Take a ferry from HK Sheung Wan Terminal to Shekou Port: 55min, CNY90-150
→ Take metro line 2 to Houhui Station, then transfer to metro line 11 to Bao’an Airport Station: 20min, CNY6

How to Get from Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen

1. Bus: Take a direct coach from HKIA Ground Transportation Center and arrive at Shenzhen Bay or Shenzhen Bao’an Airport: 1-2h, HKD150-200.

2. Hong Kong to Shenzhen Ferry: Take the ferry from HKIA Skypier to Shekou Port: 30min, CNY280

3. HK Airport Express + High Speed Train
→ Take Airport Express to Kowloon Station, walk east to arrive at West Kowloon Railway Station: HKD100, 25min
→ Take a high speed train to Shenzhen Futian Railway Station or North Railway Station: 20min, CNY75

Car Transfer ex HK Airport to Shenzhen

You can book an alpha car at HKIA on the official website to travel to Shenzhen in advance.

HKIA to SZ PORT

Hi, We are Travelling from Philippines with SZ Visa already. Planning to take a bus instead of ferry for us to go out HK when going back from SZ. With this how we can take a bus from HKIA going to Shenzhen Bay Port.

You can take A36 at airport bus terminal station to HUNG KIU and transfer to bus no B3X to Shenzhen Bay Port, taking 55min and HKD 34.5.

Philippine Passport

Hi, I would like to check if philippine passport required visa to enter Shenzhen?

Yes, you need a visa to enter Shenzhen. There is also visa on arrival in Shenzhen, but the rejection rate for Philippine passport holders is high.

Skypier to Shenzhen

Hi, my flight lands in HK at 9:50pm and I plan on going to Shenzhen early the next day. I have booked a hotel for that night. I was wondering if it's possible to take the first ferry from SkyPier (HK airport) to Shenzhen the day after I land?

Sorry, if you leave HKIA, you cannot take a ferry from SkyPier as the ferry there is only available for the transfer passengers of the airport. It's more recommended to take MTR to Lo Wu Port and enter Shenzhen there.

1. No. Malaysian can enter Mainland China visa free and stay for no more than 15 days.
2. Huanggang and Luohu Port is busier.
3. You can use the mini program DiDi on Alipay for directions in Shenzhen.
