Oldest Central Urban Area

Yuexiu District is the oldest central urban area in Guangzhou City, also the administrative, commercial, financial and cultural center of Guangzhou. Yuexiu District China borders Zengcheng District on the northeast, Panyu District on the south, Tianhe District and Baiyun District on the west and Conghua District on the north. Temple of the Six Banyan Trees
It is a famous ancient temple in Guangzhou. It is 57 meters (187 feet) high and travelers can climb to the top of the tower along with the steps to overlook the whole city. The whole tower is like a column decorated by flowers and the top of the tower looks like the heart of the flower.

Travelers can take a flight to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport which is about 35 km (21.7 mi) from Yuexiu District, and then take the airport bus line 5 to the district. As Guangzhou Railway Station is located in Yuexiu District, it is also convenient to take trains. Taking a train to Guangzhou South Railway Station is possible, and then take Metro Line 2 to Yuexiu District China.

The metro lines including 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, 24 almost extend to all directions, and taking metros is very fast and affordable. Travelers can also choose to take buses and taxis. The taxi charges CNY 12 for the first 3 km and CNY 2.6/km for subsequent distance. It costs about CNY100-110 from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to the central district.
