Beijing Road
Beijing Road is one of the most prosperous pedestrian streets in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. It runs north to south, extending 1,500 meters (1,640 yd) from Guangwei Road to Middle Yanjiang Road in Guangzhou city center. But more often, it refers to a larger area around the junction of No.4 Zhongshan Road and Beijing Road, where gathers many shopping malls and restaurants. This road can meet your needs of shopping for various kinds of clothes and tasting delicious local food. In addition, there is a site of a thousand-year old lane and a site of an ancient building, both covered by transparent glass for visitors to have a clear view.
Where to Shop in Beijing Road & Shopping Tips
If you want to buy some cheap clothes, it’s advised to go to the first floor of Metro Mall. Guangzhou Grand Shopping Mall is suitable for those who want to buy clothes, shoes or other goods from famous domestic and foreign brands. Tianhecheng Grand Shopping Mall (TEE Mall) is another shopping paradise for tourists; this shopping mall offers diversified products with delicate style and high quality. In terms of souvenirs, it’s better to head to small stores or those by the roadside, whose price is pleasant and products are diversified.
Most shop assistants there can speak English, so overseas customers don’t need to worry about a language barrier. Bargain is common in Guangzhou Beijing Road, except in the grand shopping malls.
What & Where to Eat in Beijing Road
If you want to taste local snacks, please go to Beijing Road. If you would like to taste unique cuisines, head to Beijing Road as well. Guangming Square is a good place for those who have strong desire to taste western dishes, Japanese food, or south-east Asia cuisines; the food price here is a little higher. In addition, To To Kui is pretty popular among local people and visitors. It’s a wonderful place to have morning tea and Cantonese dim sum. Xingyun Lou (Lucky Restaurant) is worth a visit for its famous shrimp dumplings, egg tart, steamed creamy custard bun, roasted goose, and so on. Yinji Changfen offers delicious sausage rice noodles with cheap price. Or visitors can taste various sweet porridges at Baihua Tangshui.
Walk to the south of Beijing Road, there are many small restaurants selling delicious local snacks, such as wonton noodles, flank beef rice noodle, fish ball rice noodle, and special soft sausage. The food here is cheap.
How to Get to Beijing Road
1. Take metro line 6, and get off at Beijing Road Station. Leave from Exit B.
2. Take metro line 1 or line 2, and get off at Gongyuanqian Station, and leave from Exit D and then walk to east for about 800 meters (880 yd).
3. Take City Sightseeing Bus Ancient City Line and Xiguan Style Line and get off at Beijing Road Station.
4. Take bus line 10, 183, 190, 1, 219, 3, 541, 544, 66, B8, Night 1, Night 32, Night 36, Night 39, Night 69, Night 8, and get off at Beijing Road Intersection Station.

Where are old squares with pink buildings in Macau
I visited Macau, HK& China (Guanzhou region ) in 1982. I remember an area in Macau that had no people, old pink buildings, deserted plazas. Nobody was there. What happened ? Anything of this area left to see? Where are the pictures?

Calcada Da Praia is the most famous place in Macao with pink buildings. I don't know if it was the one you once visited. But it is not deserted and many tourists go there to take beautiful pictures nowadays.

It takes about 1 hour by metro and the distance is around 30 km. I think the time is possible for you to have a try.
