Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport

Xiang’an  International Airport is under construction and is planned to open to navigation in 2023. Aiming to be equipped with 4F standard, Xiang’an Airport will build two runways of 3,800 meters (4156 yards) and a terminal of 550,000 square meters (657,795 square yards) by 2030, which will accommodate 45 million passengers each year. By 2040, it will build another two runways of 3,800 meters (4156 yards) and expand the terminal to 850,000 square meters (1,016,592 square yards), achieving the annual passenger throughput of 70 to 75 million. Besides, it will be available for the landing of 117 passenger planes and 28 cargo aircrafts at the same time.
 Xiang’an Airport will be located between Dadeng Island and Xiaodeng Island, Xiang’an District, Xiamen City, Fujian Province, 25 kilometers (16 miles) from central Xiamen.

  
 Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport is located in Huli District, Xiamen City, 13 kilometers (8 miles) from downtown Xiamen. As a 4E standard airport, it has a runway of 3,400 meters (3718 yards) and two terminals of 237,800 square meters (255,9600 square yards). It currently opens many air routes to 109 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Changchun, Changsha, Chengdu, Dalian, Haikou, Hangzhou, Kunming, Lanzhou, Nanjing, Shenyang, Shenzhen and so on.
 
 1: Airport Shuttle Bus Line connect the airport with Chunguang Hotel, Xiamen North Railway Station, Wutong Port, Haicang Songyu Port, Wucun Coach Station, Zengcuoan and Dongdu. The fare is CNY 5 – 15 and the duration is 15 – 40 minutes.

 2: City bus line in Terminal 3 include 37, 41, 78, 81, 91, 326 & 424. And city bus in Terminal 4 include 84, 91, 424, 429, 640, 641, 650, 652, 755, 940, 948, 949, 992 and airport line. Most buses operate after 06:00 and before 20:00 with a fare of CNY 1 – 2.

 1: Gulangyu Island
Gulangyu Island is situated at the southwest of Xiamen Island and represents the largest island in Xiamen. With the green land coverage rate of over 40%, Gulangyu Island is rich in flora, including more than 90 families and 1000 species of trees, shrubs, vines and ground cover plants. Representative scenic spots have Sunlight Rock, Yu Park, Gulang Stone, Gulangyu Piano Museum, Memorial Hall of Zheng Chenggong, Underwater World and so on.

 2: South Putuo Temple
South Putuo Temple is situated at the foot of Wulaofeng and adjacent to Xiamen University. First built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907), this temple was later destroyed in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and rebuilt during the region of Qing Emperor Kangxi (1662-1722). It covers an area of 258,000 square meters (308,565 square yards) with four main buildings on the central axis. The buildings include Devajara Hall, Mahavira Hall, Dabei Hall and a Pavilion built for store scriptures.   The whole temple is magnificent and well-ordered.
