Beijing Subway Line 13 has a total length of 40.5 km (25 mi), running with 17 stops. Two sections, Xi'erqi to Longze and Liufang to Dongzhimen, are underground lines, while the rest are elevated lines.

The first and the last trains from Dongzhimen depart at 5:34 and 23:44 and arrive in Xizhimen. The first and last trains depart from Xizhimen at 5:34 and 22:54. According to the schedule, the subway will run halfway after 23:54. There are two halfway trains departing from Dongzhimen to Huilongguan at 23:44, and from Xizhimen to Huoying at 23:54.
