Qingdao Hongdao Railway Station

Qingdao Hongdao Railway Station has been in service since July in 2023. It is linked to Qingdao Metro Line 8 and operates high speed trains to/from Shanghai, Jinan, Lianyungang and etc.  Passengers can go from Qingdao to Jinan in only two hours, then to Shanghai in only four hours, and from Qingdao to Yancheng in only three hours.

Hongdao Train Station is located in Hongdong Economy District, about 40 kilometers (30 miles) from May Fourth Square in city center, 70 kilometers (40 miles) from Qingdao West Railway Station, 40 kilometers (30 miles) from Qingdao Railway Station, and 30 kilometers (20 miles) from Qingdao North Railway Station.

 Once Hongdao Railway Station is in service, it will be the first railway station with sea view in China, the largest railway station in Qingdao and the second largest railway station in Shandong Province.

The terminal buildings of the railway station look like “工” from its appearance. Hongdao Train Station consists of four floors: -2F is for passengers to take metro, -1F is the underground transfer hall and arrival hall, 1F is the platform floor, and the elevated floor is waiting hall. Inside or around the station building, taxi stands and bus stops will also be available. 

Passengers will need to leave Hongdao Train Station through the underground hall on -1F once they get off the train. For departure passengers, they can enter the station via the entrances of either first floor or the second floor.
 Metro Line 10 under planning will link Hongdao Railway Station and Liuting Airport;
Metro line 12 to be open in 2023 will connect Hongdao Station with Jiaozhou Economics and Technologies Development Zone.
 Qingdao Railway Station: Located in Shinan District, the railway station have high speed trains to/from Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Hefei, Tianjin, Changsha, Wuhan and etc; and normal speed trains to/from Jinan, Guangzhou, Xi’an and Xining, etc.

Qingdao North Railway Station: Located in Licang District, the North Railway Station operates high speed trains to/from Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Harbin, Changsha, Jinan, Rongcheng and Weihai and normal speed trains to/from Xi’an, Harbin, Jinan, Changchun, Luoyang and etc.

Qingdao West Railway Station: Located in Tieshan Street, Huangdao District, the West Railway Station operates high speed trains to/from Jinan, Rizhao, Beijing and Shijiazhuang, etc.
