Recommendation Rate of Travel:

The biggest event in November of Bangkok is the Loi Krathong. It is a festival of love and light. On the festival day (December 15 in Thai calendar), lovers go to the waterside to float lanterns, by which way to drive away bad luck and annoyances and make best wishes. Setting off skylights is also a popular activity during the festival in Bangkok. The best places to take part in the happy events include Chao Phraya River, Wat Saket, Benjasiri Park and ICONSIAM. Wat Saket is one of the most famous temples in Bangkok with a history of over 300 years. During Loi Krathong, the temple is beautifully decorated by colorful lights and red silk. Located high, it also offers a bird’s eye view of the city.

Tips

1. On Loi Krathong, do not take away others’ floating lights, which is considered very impolite.
2. It’s highly advised to book a room and flight ticket in advance if you going to Bangkok during Loi Krathong, when they can be in great demands.
