3 Days of Guiyang - Huaxi - Qingyan - Tianhetan - Ghost Bridge

Starting from Guiyang, take the No.1 bus at the suburban bus stop in Hebin park to Huaxi district. The bus fare is about 2 yuan. After arriving at Huaxi park, you are should walk about 3 minutes before you arrive at the well-known "Flavor street". This will meet all your need for snacks.

But really,you have another choice to visit Huaxi - by bicycle. It is easy and fun for you to rent a bike outside of the park gate. The fare is 10 yuan per day with a single occupancy and 15 yuan per day with the double occupancyt. The view of Ping Bridge and Golden road behind the back door of the park is truly amazing. Then, you can visit the park after 17:00, for the admission fare is free at that time. Afterwards, enjoy the views in the park; please come out the park from its No. 2 Exit. After your wandering, you are advised to cross the road and you can take the bus into Qingyan old town. The bus fare is just 5 yuan. After a total 2 hours' drive, you arrive in Qingyuan town. It is the best and most completely preserved architecture from the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Guiyang. The admission fee for Qingyuan old town is 30 yuan per person. Stay overnight at the roadhouse in Qingyan town.

On the second day, you can have meals there to enjoy the local flavor, especially Qingyan glutinous rice wine and the well-known cake made of rice. They are worth tasting. After a great meal, you can walk around the town and absorb the local culture and enjoy its architecture. In the afternoon, take a return by bus to Huaxi and stay overnight in the Huaxi hotel, located on the bank of Huaxi river.

Qingyan Ancient Town, Guiyang

In the morning, catch the No. 211 bus opposite road of Hebin Park to Tianhetan landscape, which features Karst terrain. It merges water, hills and caves into one. There you can take a boat to go sightseeing the Karst caves - Konglin Cave and perhaps hike to visit the dry land karst cave - the palace of the galaxy. You need to pay attention to follow the crowd, for it is very easy to get lost during the group caves visiting. And you will get wet during the boating. Do not forget to take photos of these amazing scenes. Return by ropeway to Zhenshan village and have meals with a local family. And then take to boat from there back to Huaxi. Have a good rest in Huaxi to be ready for the next day's excursion.

After breakfast, you will take microbus at Huaxi bus station to Qiantao. Please tell the driver to take you to the mountain pass of Ghost Bridge. And you should also bargain the transfer charge and consult with your driver to pick you up after the hike. Usually it will cost you 6 - 10 yuan for one -way. One hour later, you will reach your destination. But if you would like to walk leisurely, you also can reach there before 17:00. Upon arrival, you should set up camp, and stay at the camp overnight.

You can have a good sleep there, and start you itinerary to Ghost Bridge. After spending a half day to enjoy the great scenic and natural wonders there, you need to get your timing right. Return to the mountain pass in time to catch your planned bus and leave for Huaxi Park. Then you can take the No. 202 bus to the downtown of Guiyang city and your hiking trip ends. Tired but happy.
