Candy was a wonderfull Guide. She has a lot of knoledge und answered every question of ours. She was very nice and gave us all the time we needed to take pictures. I would recommend her to everybody i know. If we ever decide to take a guide again, i would love to have Candy. The driver was also very reliable and we never had to wait a long time.

We had a fantastic day on this tour around Xian and the terracotta warriors. Our tour guide Lily was really kind, knowledgeable and informative. She was able to teach us all about the history of the city and the sites we were seeing and were able to answer all our questions. The private driver made the tour very easy and convenient to get to all site.

Definitely a once in a lifetime experience and the best way to visit China especially for first-timers. Visiting the Great Wall, Terra Cotta Army, and many temples were such breathtaking sights and made even better with kind and knowledgeable tour guides (Kevin, Tracy, and Helen). I enjoyed meeting the others in my tour group as it made it more fun to visit all these historical sites and share meals together. The only thing I would do differently is spend more of my free time exploring further because there is simply too much to see (and eat) in such little time. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who hasn't visited before!

We did a 1 day tour to forbidden city, Tian’anmen square and the Great Wall of China. Kevin was our tour guide and he did an amazing job. He was very attentive to the group, explained the history of various buildings and monuments and is a great photographer. Thank you Kevin! If we had more time we would’ve done the 2 day tour.

My family visited Beijing and engaged the services of Lucy as our tour guide. She was wonderful, patient and catered to all our needs as we travelled with young children and elderly parents. My daughter loved her caring and engaging nature!

She is very knowledgeable especially in navigating places e.g Forbidden City and communicated well in English too.

I loved my eight day El Salvador Adventure. We were 2 women and felt very safe. My tour guide Miguel was professional, knowledgeable, extremely helpful and accommodating. The hotels were each very different … former coffee plantation, luxury hotel, and beach getaway. The included breakfasts were all. delicious. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants an overview of this beautiful and diverse country.

My family and I had an amazing tour today. I especially chose an English speaking tour. Our tour guide, Candy, was so informative and I learned a lot of China’s history. She also helped us to take many family pics. I’m glad I took my children to this tour. My mother, who has visited many times even said that Candy was much more informative than the other tour guides that she had before and she also enjoyed it very much! We went to The Forbidden Palace, Tiananmen Square and The Great Wall- MuTianYu. You can even go up by cable car or chairlift and come down by sliding down the toboggan which was so much fun!!

This tour was excellent; the scenery was spectacular. Zhangjiajie was one of 8 cities that we visited in China. The whole trip was so smooth and easy, thanks to Emily, our travel consultant at TravelChinaGuide. She was so responsive to all our needs and organised everything perfectly. We had a great time on the tour - Celine was an amazing tour guide and so knowledgeable on the different areas of the city and it's history. A highlight for us was seeing the terracotta army and having traditional biang biang noodles for lunch!

We only had one full day in Xi'an and still felt like we had a full experience of the city because of the amount we were able to see on this tour - a huge part of that was because of Celines guidance and experience.

We had a fantastic tour with Miss Candy. Morning at the Forbidden City, afternoon at the Temple of Heaven.

You can buy an audio tour, but this experience beats that hands down. Candy gave us lots of information and we were able to ask lots of questions about history and modern day living in China.

The pace was perfect and Candy took us to a local restaurant for lunch which made the day so much easier. The whole day was smooth and hassle-free from start to finish.

Absolutely recommended.

This tour is a must for everyone visiting Xi’an for the first time. Our guide Lily made the tour unforgettable. She knew so much about Chinese history and the terracotta warriors, especially the Tang Dynasty, and shared it in a way that kept us interested the whole time. The tour was great, a good selection of sights and Kevin was really knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to answer all my questions, both about the tour and about my stay in general - for example, I asked him about the be at places to shop so he arranged for me to be dropped off at a mall round the corner from my hotel and even got out the car to walk me there.

Tracy was such an incredible tour guide! She knew so much about the history of everything we saw and answered everyone’s questions.
She gave us lots of time to explore and responded to the needs of the group. Tracy had brilliant advice about lots of things (including where to eat and the best place to buy souvenirs!)
We had a small group of only five people which was lovely and had a very personalised feel.

The Terracotta Warriors, Great Goose Pagoda, and Xi’an City Wall are all must-see spots if your are visiting Xi’an, and the experience was so much better for having a knowledgeable tour guide.

It was an excellent trip and worth the convinience for the price - the trip was filled with information, Rocky is a great tour guide (so knowledgable and patient!) and takes excellent photos too of you. This was part of our 12-day private tour by Travel China Guide. Our local guide Ryan and driver shuttled us roundtrip from our hotel in Shanghai. We had a wonderful time visiting Suzhou and experiencing the Tongli water town. Ryan was very informative on history, culture, and architectural details. It was a great learning experience. Since I have not been to China for over a decade, decided to do a trip with a tour group to bring my teenage kids to experience the Chinese culture. It was a great decision made, as Travel China Guide (English speaking) has made the tour memorable for me and my family. Alongside with great tour team members, we made new friends. Kevin, who's our tour guide, was knowledgeable (i guess he has to be!) and explanation was clear. We were also well fed during the trip (peking duck). Hotel we stayed in was decent. Overall great experience!

Tracy from Travel China Guide made our trip very memorable with her detailed and thoughtful planning. Eg, she made sure she did a pro-active check-in with the hotel before we reached by requesting for our passports in the bus so that she can screenshot first and sent to the hotels for their prep. This significantly lessen our waiting time the moment we reached the hotel. She also made very careful planning ahead of time, by providing us information/details of the upcoming places we will be visiting, including toilets locations (very impt ! ) and also the time taken in each of the places. Terracotta was the highlight of the trip, and she walked us through the 3 pits, and gave us enough time to explore the places. She has also added in a Chinese Aerobics show (at our own cost) in the evening where we get to enjoy Chinese dumpling feast in a big hall while enjoying the show.

Tracy's English was clear and easy to understand and she shares some insights to the Chinese a day in the life to us to make us appreciate Xi-an/China even more. My teenagers benefited as well as they can understand and appreciate the Chinese Culture. Overall, super excellence for this tour.

We've spent an unforgettable day in Xian together with my family and friends on January 2025: visited the Terracota Army museum, Xian Ancient City wall, Small Goose Pagoda. We are very grateful to our tour guide Roger for an interesting detailed historical information about all the places we've seen, about China and the Chineese, about Xian city & etc. Roger is truly professional and very communicative person, Terracota Army is a real treasure, so the day flew by in an instant. The whole organization was just as expected: we were met at the railway station in early morning, then taken by car to all the places in a comfortable mini-bus and returned to the station just in time. We are a company of 7 (adults, teens and a child) from Russia and even children had no complains and received a double experience both in language practice (the tour was in English) and cultural knowledge. I would highly recommend both the tour and the guide for everyone who wants to receive the best impression about Xian.

We took the 6 days Yunnan and the 8 days Sichuan tour got our honeymoon. We enjoyed it very much. Most of the hotels surprised us with flower decorations, wine or cake. The tour guides were very nice and helpful, because it made the trip more informative and easier when the local people didn’t speak English. They also helped us when we had a special request that wasn’t part of the itinerary. Regarding the sights we especially liked the Stone Forest in Kunming, Jiuzhaigou, the pandas, the golden monkeys, the various old towns in Dali, Lijiang, Shangri’La and Chengdu. And of course the food was great.

A truly valuable asset to the company she works for – Travel China Guide - a tour guide whom I found to be very knowledgeable, friendly and caring. Upon our arrival at the airport round about 11.00 pm in the evening, Carol’s sincere greeting made us all feel warmly welcomed, and her detailed outline of our itinerary and the exciting things we could expect and do in Xian, rendered us all enthusiastically anticipating our adventure in this tour.

I was witness to her wealth of intelligence, patience & sensitivity, as well as remaining calm in situations that required thoughtfulness & imperturbability. One of our tour members regrettably had to leave the tour a few days after the tour began due to some unforeseen and unexpected news from home. Unfazed with the complexity of the issue - re-arranging the guest's transport from mid touring, checking out of accommodations, re-arrangements of flights, etc., Carol resolved the situation quietly and expertly. She made tremendous efforts to ensure the guest was aware at all times of the progress of assisting him to return home as speedily as possible, showing forbearance with the anxious guest. Her conduct was remarkably exemplary.

On another occasion, she showed empathy to a member who took ill & physically took the individual to the pharmacy when said individual required medication. I too benefitted from her kindness, as she waited patiently at the airport as I transferred some of the personal items from my checked luggage to my hand luggage, simultaneously ensuring that I was correctly boarded for the next leg of my journey.

Not only is Carol an excellent guide and communicator of the famous sites that we visited, she went beyond her call of duty and gave equal attention to every member in our tour group, ensuring that each individual’s needs were more than satisfactorily met. What I was most impressed about of Carol is the professional, responsible and accountable manner she conducted of herself. Carol is an exceptional tour guide and I can confidently say, without hesitation and in a heartbeat that I am more than willing join any tour that Carol Chen is the team leader.
