This tour was incredible! In the morning we visited the Terracotta Army, then we had lunch and in the afternoon we went to the Bog Goose Pagoda and the West Gate of the City Walls.
All was so relaxing and punctual, also our guide Tracy was very friendly and helpful all the time.
Would definitely recommend it!

We had a fantastic time visiting the Great Wall and the Forbidden City with our guide Rocky. He shared a lot of interesting information about each site, making the experience both fun and educational.

Four of us landed in Beijing with 2 days and it couldn't have been better spent than with Rocky taking us all over Beijing from The Forbidden City, Tiananmen square to The Great Wall. He was fantastic filled with stories and facts about each location. He was so helpful with questions about Beijing even outside of the tour. One of our Party has dietary requirements and when it came to lunch time he made sure that they had everything they needed, communicating with the restaurant staff. If you have time in Beijing book this trip and request Rocky!!!

If you want a single tour to see the main highlights in and around Beijing I thought this had a very good itinerary and pace to see everything without ever feeling too rushed. Great Wall was the highlight for me, and the option to take chair lift up + toboggan down was a fun addition.

Our guide Kevin was friendly and knowledgeable and kept things moving smoothly the whole day.

Perfect and very reliable communication and tour operation by tour operator Moon. Everything on time and super reliable. We did the Mount Hua Shan with our guide Roger. He is very knowledgeable and tells you a lot of additional information. Besides that treasure chest of knowledge he is very nice and takes care of you very well. I was the slowest in the group and he made sure that I was not left behind. The tour is wonderful, great nature, simply wonderful. I`d recommend that you ask for Roger as tour guide.

Tom was an excellent guide with lots of knowledge on Bejing and the highlights we visited. He explained a lot and patiently waited for our group (8 people) to take pictures. The organization was perfect, with a van and driver conveniently driving us from one place to the other and Tom taking care of the rest. I was very happy to have taken this tour because going alone to the Forbidden City would have been a big challenge and long queuing. Group entrance goes relatively fast and it is very helpful to have a guide here. The climb to tower 1 on the Great wall was a big challenge but worth it. The slide down on the toboggan was fun. Make sure to bring good walking shoes.

We booked a tour to Tiananmen Square-Forbidden City-Mutianya and I must say the experience has been wonderful. The confirmation was almost immediate and the instructions were stated clearly in the email. Our tour guide, Kevin, gave us a welcome the day before to inform us of the pickup time. On the day of the tour, Kevin managed the group really well, and gave us plenty of time for each stop. Kevin is knowledgeable and fed us information on the history which is very interesting. Overall, Kevin has been splendid.

Tour was perfect! Started off in Tianmen mountain and ended the day with an adventurous experience at the glass bridge! Perfect if you have only a short stay in Zhangjiajie. Yolin was our tour guide and she was lovely! We learned a lot about the region and their minority group.

Amazing Xi’an Tour with Carol!

We had an incredible time exploring Xi’an and Terracota Army, thanks to our guide Carol. She was extremely knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and shared fascinating insights about the city’s history and culture.

Carol was also kind and helpful beyond the tour itself, offering great tips for other parts of our trip. The tour was well-paced, giving us enough time to enjoy the sights and snap some great photos without feeling rushed. We even met the farmer who discovered Terracota Army in 1974 and got a book with his signature.

Highly recommend Carol for an unforgettable Xi’an experience!

I have lived in Beijing for 13 months and finally got the chance to visit Xi’an as I’ve always wanted to see the Terracotta Warriors. And this is the perfect tour to do so hassle-free. The groups are small and Tracy the guide is fantastically knowledgable. The day is planned meticulously and is excellent value for money. They pick you up in the morning at your hotel and after your sight-seeing they will drop you straight back. I cannot recommend this enough. Xi’an is a wonderful city, full of history and this is the perfect way to see it.

One of the most memorable trips I've had, gave me the opportunity to explore this part of China more deeply. The history and culture of the minority groups in this region are truly unique.

A huge thank you to Amy, our coordinator, for organizing such an incredible trip. We felt well taken care of, relaxed, and able to enjoy everything at our own pace. I’d also like to extend a special thanks to our wonderful guides—Lulu in Kunming, Scarlett in Dali, Alice in Lijiang, and Peter in Shangri-La—as well as our dedicated driver, who accompanied us throughout all four cities.

The hotels we stayed in were generally good, except for the one in Shangri-La. I hope Travel China Guide considers an alternative for future travellers.

The Driver for the day picked us up first and then we travelled to where Kevin and a second couple were waiting.
The first stop was Hutong with a glimpse into the old city plenty of time for a walk around.
Driver met us again and we were off the
Summer Palace the mist on the day made scenery even more spectacular,
Plenty of time for an explore Kevin helped the other couple find a costume for cos play.
A quick lunch stop and then temple of Heaven was next next on the list it was obvious the crowds were starting to build. Keven quickly jumped us through the ques.
Our final stop for the day was lama temple which was spectacular.
The ride back to hotel where some needed a nap.
The day was very long with travel across city the hotels being in different areas.
A well organized day in comfy vehicle.

We had a 2 day guided trip with Ms Linda covering Forbidden City, the Hutong area, The Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace and the Great Wall. Ms Linda was very knowledgeable and could give us sufficient information on the historical sites. She was punctual and kept good timing throughout the trip. We found her very friendly and easy going. Highly recommended

If you ever go to Zhangjiajie, you must go with LJ as your tour guide. LJ grew up in the area before it became a tourist destination and knows the area so very well. He knows where to go and makes your trip very easy. Being from the area he can also tell you the life of the Tujia people and how they live. The stories make me appreciate the ZJJ area even more. LJ is very friendly, helpful and very very knowledgeable. 100% recommend! ZJJ is a stunning national park.

From the moment I arrived in Bejing I was sent a text informing me of my hotel pick up time , 7.40, and the mini bus arrived exactly as planned, the superb host was Helen who was super informative from the start. The day started at the square, and then moved on to the forbidden city , both were fantastic and With Helens informative commetary about what we were looking at, made me feel like an expert of the history of the region at the conclusion. We then hopped back on the mini bus to the Great wall,with a luch break in between. The luch was a buffet which was delicious, and cost about a tenner each, with soft drink as well, the wall it's self was amazing, I'd recommend the chair lift , and I don't do heights, but your never far from the ground and the views are amazing ( despite the blizzard), that was about 15 pounds each, 6 mins each way, so worth it, we spent about 1.5 hours at the wall before wee journied back to our hotel. Water and a snickers on the bus, as well, but the real jem was the amazing Helen, great English, lots of humour and paced just right for the whole group, she's a credit to this company so well done, the day is busy but worth every penny don't hesitate on this, get it all done in a day, thank you Helen

Carol was my guide and she was great. Contacted me in advanced via email and WeChat to arrange the pick up time from the hotel and was really knowledgeable on the day. What was great was she knew when to move to the next section, i never felt rushed but I also never felt like i was hanging around waiting at any stage. Everything felt like it was done at the right place.

This is my first tour I have taken with TCG. I am extremely happy with English speaking guide Rocky. He is very knowledgeable and so organised. I love how he incorporates taking our photos at points of interest in a group as well as individually. He has done a great job making this trip a success for me. My husband and two teenage girls did the mini group tour of the Terracotta Warriors with six other people. Our guide was Carol; she was a brilliant guide: informative, funny and helpful at all times. When we all wanted to have lunch, she recommended a nice place serving traditional Shaanxi cuisine outside of the museum grounds. After the Terracotta Warriors, our tour became one-on-one just for our family. Even though the weather was rainy and a bit cold, Carol made the walking tour of the Big Goose Pagoda and City Walls enjoyable with her explanation about the sites as well as about modern life in China. She helped my husband and daughters rent bikes to roam the Walls. Since our hotel was walking distance from the Muslim Bazaar, we decided to end there, instead of at the Bazaar. Driver Yang is a very skilful driver and can navigate through chaotic traffic with ease. I also want to acknowledge the punctuality and speed of responses by Echo, my online booking agent at Travel China Guide. Of all of the agencies that I have used on this trip in China, Travel China Guide was by far the most prompt and attentive to my questions leading up to the tour. I would recommend using this agency while in Xi’an!

As described. Picked up on time by guide Carol in mini van so avoid the struggle to get on site. Using mini headsets allows looking at displays undisturbed. Carol allows us to take pictures, asks questions and shows us to a local resource for lunch. Tour excellently paced. No rushing dispute packed with other visitors. High recommended n would do again

This was a well organised trip to see Beijing’s highlights; Tian’anmen Square, The Forbidden City and The Great Wall. Everything went smoothly and the hotel pick up was on time. We did the ski-lift up to the wall and the toboggan down - this was an extra charge but well worth. Our tour guide was Helen - she was super friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable and highly recommended. A great day.

Its a fantastic sight seeing day with this tour and I like to give a special big thanks to our tour guide Rocky. We went to Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, and Great Wall. I rate Rocky as 'A' grade guide. Rich of experience and knowledge of history. Rocky shows a high level of professionalism and went extra miles to address few of my issues in the beginning of the tour. The tour is also straight forward and tell you what to expect and they don't take us to some shopping scams. Enough said, I am a happy customer. Thanks again.

This review is for the Guilin portion of an 11 day private tour through Marco Polo Tours. Highly recommend Arthur as your guide of Guilin. He has been doing this for a long time and still loves showing off his home town. He speaks English well, and is enthusiastic and courteous. Grateful for the early and frequent communication prior to meeting. He met us at airport very late in evening with excellent driver Mr Tree. They took us to hotel and Arthur checked us in and made sure we were good before saying good night. He picked us up early the next morning and we drove to cruise boat for 4 1/2 boat ride down Li River. It was abdolutely beautiful. We then drove back to Guilin through countryside for photo stops. The evening was to ourselves which perfectly aligned with Lantern Festival fireworks for many hours! The next day Arthur and Mr Tree picked us up late morning and headed to The Reed Flute Cave which was a natural wonder. We then were driven to train station to head to our next China destination. Arthur came through security with us to make sure we knew which gate our train would leave from.

We went on a private 15 day tour, flying into Hong Kong, then taking high speed rail to Guangzhou, then flying into Kunming, then high speed rail into Lijiang, then driving over the mountains and the Yangtze River to Shangri-La, then flying to Lhasa, then driving to Tsetang and driving back to Lhasa. We flew home from Lhasa, via Beijing.

This is our second tour with Travel China Guide and just like our first time, this was an excellent experience again. Traveling to this many cities in 15 days had some complexity, but Amy, our travel consultant , did a great job of communicating with us via email, booking hotels, transportation, and coordinating with the different guides in the different cities.

China is a beautiful country and these cities were great. Hong Kong is an exciting, vibrant city and we very much enjoyed seeing the Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island, and the Chin Lin nunnery with its beautiful architecture and gardens, among other sites.

Guangzhou was great. We got to see Dr. Sun Yatsen's Memorial Hall, the Temple of Six Banyan Trees, and the magnificent Museum of the Mausoleum of the Nanyue King. This was not part of a scheduled tour, but we were fortunate enough to see it on our free time.

In Kunming we were able to see the beautiful Green Lake Park and the Stone Forest. The limestone formations, trees and lakes reminded me of a series of bonsai scenes but in real size.

Lijiang was a hidden gem. We enjoyed the cultural aspect of visiting a Naxi family, seeing a Baisha village and Buddhist Murals very much. One of my favorite parts of the trip was to visit Lijiang Old Town, with its waterways and old stone streets to explore.

The town of Shangri-La was fascinating to visit. We were able to see temple at the Guishan Park of Dukezong Ancient Town. We also saw the Great Prayer Wheel next to the temple where pilgrims can pull the rope to turn the wheel. The wheel is 21 meters in height and 60 tonnes in weight. People in the town meet in the public square of Ancient Town at 7:00 PM, when music comes on the loudspeakers and people of all ages dance to the music.

In Tsetang we saw the beautiful Yumbu Lakang temple and learned about it's history. We also went to Trandruk Monastery and the Samye Monastery.

Then we went to Lhasa where we saw the crowning glory of Tibetan Buddhism, the Potala Palace. Our guide shared with us the history of the place, and it's importance to the Tibetan people. It's a beautiful place that I'm happy to have seen in person.

Travel China Guide organized all of our hotels, transportation and tours and did it very well. Our hotels were all 5-stars. There were a couple of places where we had issues with the hotels but Amy and the team at Travel China Guide quickly resolved those.

We look forward to our next trip to China and working with Travel China Guide again to plan it.
