Beigeng? You mean Beijing? So you are going to travel in China? Then you will need a visa for the route.

Both Tibet and Chongqing are in mainland China and it is not an eligible transit route.

However, since you are a Singaporean citizen, then you will be allowed to enter mainland China without a visa and stay for at least 30 days. In other words, you can transit in Chongqing without a visa.

Yes, you are. The only thing that really matters is that immediate points before and after your Chinese destination, Chongqing in your case, are located in two different countries or eligible territories. Eligible territories are: Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau who act as third countries in this regard. In other words, your itinerary is eligible for 144 hour visa free transit because your immediate points before and after Chongqing are in Hong Kong and Taiwan. You are good to go.

Chongqing 144 hour visa
I will be flying to Chongqing from Singapore. However, there’s no direct flight. If I transit in Bangkok before flying to Chongqing, will this effect the 144 hour Visa?

Actually, there is no any obstacle why would not you travel via Bangkok. This is perfectly fine.

Anyway, to be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit, your immediate destination after Chongqing cannot be in Thailand and you also cannot have any additional landing within mainland China.

So, if your final itinerary is something like this:

Bangkok - Chongqing - Hong Kong

You will be definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Chongqing area (entire Chongqing Municipality).
