After 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games, National Olympic Sports Center (NOSC) as well as venues in the Olympic Green and Olympic Forest Park become hot travel destinations. Backpacking travelers interested in Olympic venues are suggested to take a one-day tour to the following representative sites. This tour will lead you to trace the footprints of those athletes.

Stop 1: National Olympic Sports Center (NOSC)
Today, at the appointed time, our guide who speaks fluent English and has served overseas visitors for years will pick you up from your hotel on time. After a brief introduction about today’s sightseeing, set off directly by public transport to the first stop, National Olympic Sports Center. Hand ball, water polo, martial arts, and three events of modern pentathlon were held here during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Now the Sports Center is stilled used for football games and other kinds of sports meetings.

Open time: 8:00 – 22:00
By bus: Take city bus 386, 400, 407, 490, 613, 645 or 658 to Asian Games Village bus stop, get off and you’ll see the sports center to your south side.
Calculating the travel time of bus, subway or both with transfers, the guide will escort you there by the best and fastest way. If your hotel is close to any subway station, subway is very possible the best choice because of its high speed.

How to Get to National Olympic Sports Center
By subway: Subway line 8 right has a station there and you should leave from Exit C.By bus: Take city bus 386, 400, 407, 490, 613, 645 or 658 to Asian Games Village bus stop, get off and you’ll see the sports center to your south side.

Stop 2: Olympic Green
After, follow the guide to walk northward from the National Olympic Sports Center and cross the road to reach the Olympic Green.
It houses National Aquatics Center (Water Cube), National Stadium (Bird's Nest), National Indoor Stadium (NIS), Olympic Village and more venues. The most famous sites there should be the two major buildings, the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. Apart from the hi-tech and advanced equipment, the unique and beautiful appearances make them well known to the world.
After visiting the Bird's Nest Stadium and Water Cube, continue to the north to visit the National Convention Center on the left side. The center worked as the temporary Fencing Hall and working place for journalists during the Beijing Olympics. It is now used for international conventions and exhibitions.

Stop 3: Olympic Forest Park
To save you energy for sightseeing, after having lunch, the guide will lead you to take the subway to reach the Olympic Forest Park, although it is only one stop away.
The Olympic Forest Park is covered by verdant plantation and dotted with clear lakes, wetlands, and cultural landscapes. Away from pollution and noise, the park will bring you freshness, tranquility and peacefulness. The Hockey Stadium, Archery Field and Tennis Center during the 2008 Olympic Games and National Speed Skating Oval (Ice Ribbon) for beijing 2022 winter olympic games can be found in the west of the park.
